Sylvia--try that eggplant lasagna--it looks great. I always meant to make it but never got around to it. Perhaps when my sister comes this week...we're both eggplant s.

I broke down and bought the knife set--yeah, yeah, I said I wouldn't buy anymore, but that looked very good. Got 'em in white and boy, are they SHARP!!! Love my knives like razors. That oval serrated one is fantastic and that's what I bought the set for, truth be told.

BTW, I did make the lemon-poppyseed cake that's in her book. Came out very good, but it's a real pain you-know-where to keep resetting the cooker. I did discover that you should let it switch off and WAIT 20 min before resetting it. Cake was very moist.

Hey there lady - glad to see you around - hope you are well.

Yes, I am going to grocery store tomorrow for eggplant, I love, love, love it and will try that recipe - funny the lemon poppyseed cake was another one I wanted to try. Darn don't like having to wait 20 minutes to restarts (feels like I'll have to babysit this thing) but will try.

Peace!

Opps forgot to comment on the knives - I was so tempted to buy but I do have a two piece WP knife set for years now and just love them. Didn't really see the need to buy the set with the ones I have,- I also have a Henckles set so I think I'm set, but did like the white one when I saw them. Trying to hold out on purchases to things I really can't live without - what a laugh.

Peace!

Bubbo I have yet to try the mac and cheese. On a side note "bubbo" wasn't that the name of the golden owl in Clash of the Titans?

Hey Brooklyngeezer where ya been?

Sylviai

The cake turned out great I made red velvet cake with vanilla. It was all the rage at work. Can't wait for the holidays. Does the cookbook have any good stews or soups winter is coming.

Ok what happened to us junkies we all seem to be cured from the frenzy. Maybe its just that there isn't anything new out. Think

I hope they have a good cooking show soon. The holidays are coming soon and it would be nice to have the cooking items we need before they get here. I did buy a the pankcake puff pan and a split fry pan, they just came in the mail today can't wait to try out the puff pancake maker. :)

Had my sister here for the past 3 weeks and the family is coming back for Thanksgiving. Maybe I'll actually get to use that potato masher contraption I bought :) you know, the one that cooks 'em and them mashes 'em with the little beaters.

Oh our "place" has the new WP rice cooker in all the colors. Check it out.

Hey Brooklyn long time no see. Glad to see you here!Dancing

Thanks for the heads up I will have to check it out! Happy 2

The puff pancakes are great. I think you eat less too. I only made one batch and there small so less cals. Flap jacks I usually do at least four. LOL I like it. I will be trying to fill them with stuff next but that diet of mine is holding me back from making this a daily treat. Angel

If he mad the colored one in the larger or smaller size I would get it but I already have that size too bad too. They do have the breadmachine and I am soooooo tempted to get it but I have no place to store it. UGH! I'm also thinking about his buffet set.

Yep, that's the one. It's just the old 7 cup one with a couple of more steaming baskets added. I bought one for a friend who's moving as a housewarming gift.

I was a little reluctant to order the bread machine there since more often than not, the defect is scratched or marred Teflon. I wanted the pan to be "new" although now I'm kicking myself because even when the pan is not scratched, the bread seems to stick at the bottom :(

Shout out to Sylvia Dancing Dancing

You'll never believe but I bought an ADDITIONAL refrigerator and put it up in my office Dancing

It's a nice little 3.1 cu ft jobbie that takes all my overflow and frees up space in my main fridge, especially around holiday time. My sister sort of prodded me to get it since she was using it as a wine fridge while she was visiting LOL...Hey! It's good for that TOO!!!!
