I live in an apartment. I have an eat in kitchen with a good amount of cabinet space but frankly I don't know what to do with all these appliances. I have the Wolf reversible griddle, small panini maker, a sandwhich/waffle maker, Rival slowcooker, Flavorwave, Ronoco rotisserie, Jack Lalane juicer plus the usual toaster, blender, and electric can opener. I really do use them all on a very regular basis (especially holiday time)so leaving them out on the counter works well but can you say eye sore. I no longer have space for my canister sets or cookie jar, all the cutesie stuff you normally have on the counters. I have since moved some of the bedding and bathroom towels into one of my bedroom closets to have space to store some of these things. The sad thing is I still want more! For the past month I have been fighting getting a deep fryer and steamer simply because I don't have a place to store it unless I just leave it on the kitchen table. My bottom cabinets are filled with cookware and bakeware stuff. Can you tell I love to cook! What do you all do with your stuff? Do you just have the space for it? I know the simple answer is stop buying stuff! LOL My friend was making fun of me when I told him I wanted to get a breadmaker he said turn off HSN! It has me thinking that when I get a house I want an area/counter just to hold all these things but has a door (like those rolltop desk) to keep them out of sight. How many plugs would that take. Fire hazzard maybe.

ooohhh wee!! I hear you sister! I don't have the reversible griddle, but I have the Tri-Grill, gave my other pannini maker away, but I have the breadmaker (will have :) I even bought a kitchen island - guess what that is the catch all for things. I like to cook, I wish I had a big kitchen, but I don't. I don't want to get rid of any of my appliances because I use them. Tomorrow I hope to be able to do some housecleaning - I have the day off and my fiance is off working - yahoo!!
Got a chuckle out of your post. God bless, Meezer

OY, I've gone beyond the junkie stage--and I don't know what anyone would call it. Perhaps we should make up a word for it. You're lucky, Cheapgal, you have counters and cabinets. I have ONE, yep, that's right, ONE. It's an old-fashioned unit, of sorts, and I think you'd find it in old farmhouse kitchens. My house is pretty old and we never remodeled the kitchen. Why, I can't imagine now. Anyhoo, I sort of solved the problem by getting one of those Rubbermaid 6' industrial shelving units, which holds *most* of my stuff. You name the appliance, I've got it. The kicker is, I'm the ONLY one, besides my 4 dogs, that live in the house as I'm a widow!!!! Even I know it's ridiculous to have 3 crockpots and 2 sets of cookware and everything else from soup to nuts, but I have absolutely NO restraint when it comes to this stuff. Maybe we all should start a support group

Cheapgal, Don't think you are alone. My hubby tells me that I am a shopaholic and he is probably right. I live in the country and restaurants are not exactly close by so I like to be able to cook anything I can get in a restaurant. Luckily when we built our house we had the sun room enclosed and cabinets installed to hold all the appliances. I have a breadmaker, flatbread maker, mixer, food processor, Keurig coffee maker, another coffee maker, flavorwave, convection oven, waffle maker, panini maker, crockpot, pressure cooker, WP reversable grill, all out on the cabinets. Excessive? yes but I use them all. I know from your post that you don't have as much space as I do but if you enjoy having the appliances and use them, keep them and enjoy.

Yes! I am not alone, there are others of my kind in this world! Meezer That is just what I had to do. Take a day and try and orgainze things. At this rate I'm going to end up with frypans in my dresser drawers. Artemis Yeah we should create a name because its definetly some sort of sickness. LOL Wow just one huh? Here I'm pulling my hair out, I should be thankful! I have a tall bookshelf but that holds all my recipe books. (two shelves) my microwave, the juicer, my trifle, cookie jars and canisters, and on the very top the picinic basket. Don't feel bad I'm single and have no pets. Lilabb I know I'm a shopaholic. I just manage it a little better now. I'm all about buying things for the house. I realized I was a shopaholic when I got joy out of purchasing things in an auto store. Yup getting that new starter for the car shed some real light on my true situation. LOL You know I would love a coffee maker even though I don't drink coffee. I could always make tea or have it for my guest when they come over. I've been eyeing the Wolf food processor but I'm waiting for it to be a today's special at a cheaper price. Looks like I might have to start thinking about moving more things out of my linen closet, everyone has toilet paper stored in their bedroom closet right?

Meezer, you must have a rice cooker. You can do so much more than cook rice. I have two(put under the cabinets). The other day I cooked sourkraut&sausage in one and cheesy potatoes in the other and "voila" a complete meal in two pots. So easy to clean too. Just remove both pots and wash in the sink and you are done. I haven't tried the mac & cheese yet because hubby insists that it be cooked in the oven with a custard like filling, but others have raved about it. I'm thinking about making rice pudding for breakfast soon. Anyway that's my two cents. Think about it.

Oh s Lilabb - now you have me actually contemplating yet another rice cooker!! We're no help to each other, we're all helpless addicting to contraptions!! LOL!!
Seriously though - I have a 10 cup WP rice cooker - would you get another 10 cup or 7 cup rice cooker - my fiance, though he's not a big man - has a big appetite. I normally make serving for 4 to 6 people (there are just 2 of us!!) I make a 9 x 12" lasagna - and in 1 meal - half of the lasagna is gone!! LOL!!

I'm a collector. I have a HUGE barrister bookcase in my dining room that's loaded to the brim and I'm also utilizing the space on top of the books and in front of the books, and I STILL have overflow. Toilet paper???? Heck, that's stored in my guest room and not in the closet. I buy it in the huge 20-roll packs when it's on sale so I never run out. We are sooooooo diseased LOL

I only have the 5 and 7 cup rice cookers and am thinking about getting the 10 cup and giving the 5 cup to my son. I think the bigger the better that way you can cook as much or as little as you need.

A funny thought crossed my mind today. I recently met this guy and of course its way to soon to know what will happen down the road but....he's veggie. Now I have a million kitchen appliances that aid in cooking oh so delicious meaty meals and am on the verge of getting more. Wouldn't it be my luck to end up with a veggie man!

Too bad we can't post pics here..I'd love to see the fryer and you using it with the added bling LOL I'm caving and buying the WP pressure cooker. I have an electric already, but you can't add minutes to it like you can with that one. My sister hemmed and hawed about taking it, saying something like her husband would go postal if she brought anything else into the house (she's got a special case of appliance mania--she wants all the American stuff--she lives in UK--needless to say there's transformers all over her house LOL). Either she can take it or send it on to herself when she's here or I'll give it to my pastor and his wife.

Just bought my food steamer! Plus a beautiful (I hope) three stone heart shape ring. So more bling and more things. Just replaced my broken magic bullet. Let the smoothie making recommence.

No no bling I didn't receive either one yet. Can't imagine why the appliances got to me first, if anything I would thing the small packages would have made it to me first. I am hoping they will come in today's mail. That potato masher sounds like a hoot! Yes you must remove it from its confines and let it be free to mash and bash! Let us know how it works. To bad there is no video capability on here I would love to see that. By the way Artemis I haven't been able to find your site.

Ok thanks.
Well my bling came yesterday and I'm going to send them both back. The earings from HSN (sparkle hoop) are terrible. They are the flimsiest earings I have ever touched. I was so afraid I would break them. Terrible workmanship and material.
The ring from QVC is nice but I'm going to send it back to as its too bulky for my fingers. At least I'm loving the deep fryer and steamer so far.
