Hey, hey TOOMUCH!
I am not posting because my house looks like ER: first, DS started to feel sick Friday night, than DH,and I am the only one who has headache but not fever. You know when men do not feel well...LOL. Plus, they both have a temperature. Plus running noses and all these nasty thingies... , plus fear that it is famous flu. I am constantly jumping between them. Plus, Auntie with her "wise advices" on the phone every hour or two. So, I did not even noticed what weather is today and even what day is today. If they are not going to get better tomorrow, we'd need to call our doctor or go to real ER. So far, it looks like regular flu, but who knows. Of course, DS had brought it from college where almost everyone is sick or going to be sick.
So nice to hear that you are full of energy and feel good! Your garden next year is going to be an envy of all your neighbors! Or are you simply trying to please your hedgehog ?
Stay healthy, use sanitizer, although it did not help us....use it anyway.

Oh no VASA!!!! You poor thing. I'm so sorry to hear about DS and DH. Kind of had the feeling that College would do you all in. Yeap I know how "good" NOT guys are when they get sick. Mine can handle knocking his block off with a hammer and looking like a dinosaur this summer but give him the sniffles and he swears he needs intensive care. They don't do sick very well. I feel so bad for you. Try and make sure you take care of yourself too. I hope that today they are heading to being better and you don't need the real ER. Took daughters friend about 4 days to feel better, not perfect, but better. Your family will be in my thoughts.
ROFL about the hedgehog. Yeah I was thinking about that while working my behind off too. Dang critter!!! Managed to get a few ripe tomatoes off the vine over the weekend and still had basil and oregano I could pick so I did. Going to get really chilly over the week so I got what I could.
Still using sanitizer and packing wipes in DH's lunch. One of his co-workers is out and doesn't know if she has bronchitis or the flu. We'll see.
You stay healthy kiddo'. Give DH and DS my best. Hope they are better quickly.
Sensa and me..perfect together.
Not achy today...WOO HOO!!!

Hey TOOMUCH! Hopefully, we are OK, and all worries about swine flu are behind. They just had a very bad regular flu case. We went to ER though... They feel OK now, only running noses are severe and make them crazy. I am very relieved. How is your weight this week? Yesterday was Wednesday? Best Vasa

Hey there Vasa lady!!! Happy to see you were on. Really happy to hear that your guys are all doing better. I understand the running nose making them nuts. Makes me the same. Don't know which is worse the runny nose or post nasal drip. Both can drive you up the wall. Sorry you had to go to the ER though. Was hoping you would be able to avoid that. In any case I'm thrilled that it is behind you for the most part. Now YOU have to stay healthy!!! Been checking out the Sensa facebook site. It's neat. Nice group of folks. Contrary to what I've heard from others on facebook I do NOT feel an overwhelming desire to "friend" everyone I "see". Judging from some I've run into it does seem to happen. Where else can you run into people with 800 friends? It's fun though. Keeps me in contact with the kids when we can't phone. Don't know if I weighed last week or not but combined for the two weeks it was 1 lb. 14 ounces total. Being able to add the pulley work for the legs seems to be helping to tighten the abs better. I don't know if it will ever be totally the way I would like but it is doing much better than I thought. Now if only I wasn't freezing. It's 43 here right now. I wore my new coat tonight to go out. It's only October. I used to run around in tee shirts and my lightweight spring jacket till mid December. Sigh....how do really skinny people survive winter? How is your little self surviving???? Speaking of skinny Take care Vasa. Stay healthy and say hi to your patients for me.

Thank you TOOMUCH for good wishes. They are definitely better. We went to ER just to be sure that it is not swine flu. As to me, perhaps you remember, that I had especially bad cold in spring which continued for 2+ weeks. I never in my life was sick like that time. I could not sleep at night because nasty mucus and cough just chocked me. I only could sleep sitting. And fever was high for the long time and nothing worked. So, this time, I probably have some immunity. Was it swine or not - I don't know, but this time I did not have temperature and did not catch it from 2 of them! Had only a headache(probably, from the absurdity of their behavior), but it is gone now. I am OK. And thanks for your concern. Now you know how skinny people feel in cold weather LOL.I tell you - I am always cold now and wear all warm things at home. Especially, warm socks.Teasing is endless...but I ignore them heroically... My furnace is going already. With 2 sick, I decided be generous with heat (will be sorry when bills come, ha-ha). Do not be cold, wear winter things now. The main thing - not to catch cold or flu, swine or not - they both are very nasty this season. Continue your Pilates and stay healthy!"Running noses" right now saying Hi to you too! Have a nice weekend and post! Vasa

Hiya Vasa!!! I'm glad the boys are doing better. Also glad that your headache was temporary. Yeah, something about dealing with a sick crew, all the whining and nose honking, will do it to you I think you may have been an early on case in the Spring, my SIL too. He was sick in June, temp, throat nose the whole works. He went to see a Doc but they never did any tests to find out. Just gave him a couple of meds and out the door. Well I'm glad if nothing else it made you resistant to what the guys had. The crew can get sick but if the Captain does the whole ship sinks, HEHEHE. Ok..yesterday did not turn on heat. Put on themal long sleeve shirt under a sweatshirt, ditto on pants and socks with my clogs, DH called me the NJ Eskimo, HMPH!! Today went into living room to find 4 of my cats huddled in one big furball, both small dogs were burrowed under their blankies with only the tips of their noses and eyes showing. Well they gave me that bad mommy look. Sigh...turned on the heat out of guilt. I'm still cold...sending Sensa my heating bill along with my clothing bill . Looks like we're both in for a long season of getting teased. It's ok...we can complain to each other it works. Don't know that I'll be as heroic as you though. We'll see how bad DH gets I went for groceries tonight and made sure to wipe down the cart handle and stuff with the wipes they supply. We ate at a little pancake house we like and the owner gave us, of all people, a free dessert. We split something small to be nice but ordered very light for supper. Left some but owner was happy that we finally took him up on his offer. I think they need a new menu for half portions. Stay warm this weekend. Say HI to your fellas'. Hope everyone is much much better. Sensa and me...perfect together!!!

TOOMUCH, you made me laugh so much when you described your pets! I know this look, from pets and kids and sick men! Yea, if we'd send to Sensa our heating and clothing bills, they may re-think a whole concept! I just ordered Foot Buddy - some electric device that warms feet - don't know, will it help or not. I need some when I sit with computer - my legs are like ice, even with warm socks. Will post later how it works for me. Oh, Dh just said - better take a b-i-i-g bowl of hot water and put your feet there when you are on computer....It is much cheaper....I just imagined it, all these cords, devices, carpet... LOLLOLLOL. You are a good girl as you use wipes in stores. I noticed that some people don't even know what to do with them. Because I was bad for several days and did not use Sensa, today I was on! For the whole day. Don't want to eat at all after light dinner, 7 hours ago! It works every time! Sensa rocks! Stay warm also, give your pets hugs and ignore teasing! Best Vas

Hey Hi Vasa!! Yeppers...MEN, puppies and kids all get that same look. All very good with the "mean mommy" gaze until you cave...then it's all sweetness and light. Guess we just have to face it, they know how to play up to us LOL. I actually told a CS rep at Sensa that when I had to call about my DH's and DD's reorders. She cracked up. Said it was nice to hear. Now I don't know that they'd appreciate the real thing Guess not but a nice thought eh? Foot Buddy? Never heard of that one but it sounds GREAT. I could certainly go for that. Tell DH his water idea would be just fine as long as he was bringing piping hot refills every 5 minutes or so otherwise no risking electrocution ROFL. Besides, a wifey with warm tootsies is a happy wife. Then give him that same look he gave you while he was sick Let me know how the new warmer is. Got my Facial Flex in the mail and going to see how it does for me. OMG...after watching what some people let their kids do to the cart handles including teething on them I am so thrilled to see wipes out there to use. I wiped mine and an older gentleman behind me looked at me odd. I pointed to a little boy who was wiping his runny nose and wiping it off on his mothers cart. Older gentleman promptly took a wipe to his cart handle and basket. Point made...not a word spoken. Your were busy with your two patients. You were lucky if you remember to eat let alone sprinkle. Knowing you weight came off. It is a blessing when you can go without any urge to eat for a long time. Had a busy day today and didn't get around to supper till 8:30. Wasn't really hungry before then anyway. I love it. Stay warm, watch out for big bowls of water and wiseguy DH's . I am going to ignore my laughing DH and find my clogs. Pile my puppies and maybe a cat or two on me and read. Have a great Sunday Vasa. Sensa and me...perfect ... even if chilly....together!!

Heeeeeyyyyyy Vasa!!! Wednesday already. Time flies. Did your Foot Buddy come in yet??? Are the guys all better?? Is Auntie behaving?? I'm helping my daughter get ready for her in-laws visit. They arrive end of the month and will be here around 10 days. Always something cooking. Well..remember me wondering if shivering was aerobic?? It must be because I went back to a 1 lb 4 ounce loss for the week. I think I will turn down my thermostat again Seriously I don't know what was different for the week because I was being consistent around the 14 ounce to 1 lb. mark but I'll take it!!!! DH has a little cold otherwise everything else here is great. So how has the week been treating you?? Off to look at the beauty deals here. I love HSN...so does my credit card company LOL. Take care.. Sensa and me...perfect together!!!

Yau TOOMUCH! Congrats! Now you have a special sign when to expect 1 lb lost! When you'd start shivering, there you are! My week was not so well - I had a massive tooth (or mouth) ache.Just got up in the morning and a whole mouth was in pain. Went to dentist, he could not find any tooth that caused it and x-rays did not show any inflammation around any of them.Made a shot. But after several hours, pain returned and even increased, so I went to doc. again next day. He gave me antibiotic and painkillers, and I take them now and see improvement. He said that reason is unknown but I have bacterial/or some vitus inflammation of gums all over. Did you hear something like this? Whole mouth is hurting, all teeth are OK, impossible to eat and even open mouth, because of pain? I never had anything like this in my entire life! I got a Foot Buddy, it is a panel with 2 adjustable legs and electrical warming. You just put your legs on this panel, switch the level of heat you want, and sit there.Very nice. I think, even my "teeth feel better"... Guys are OK and Auntie also.Only I am with mouth problem now. I am afraid to lose more weight because I almost did not eat these days - it hurts.I don't need it now when my face started to look a little fuller. You see, first you want to lose as much as possible. Then, you do not want to lose any.It is like a wheel that constantly moves, up and down.Just a philosophy of life...We are never satisfied, never. Hope, your DH is better, and you are warm and healthy. My furnace is running 24/7. Best Vasa

Hey there Vasa!!! Ouchie!!! Sorry your mouth is giving you heck kiddo. When your mouth hurts everything is miserable. Had tooth issues all my life so don't know if what I had would have anything to do with how yours is going. First was I was a tooth grinder growing up. Of course nobody paid much attention back then. Always had painful jaw and sides of my face and lots of earaches. Eventually led to lots of dental work and root canals as I had soft enamel and the teeth broke. Well that lasted a little while until the posts in the root canels started giving my system problems then the sore mouth/face and earaches were back but this time they brought headaches with them for company. Resolved that with drastic measure a few years back by removing the offenders and getting falsies Wouldn't recommend that to anyone off the cuff but it was what I had to do. No pain, headaches, facial or gum since that point. Hope the docs can find out what's up. Have you tried a mouth guard for the night? Might help a little. Let me know how you make out. Poor thing you get the guys all better and now you can't enjoy a little knosh without pain. I hope you get better soon. The Foot Buddy sounds like heaven. Warmth on the tootsies while computing...AHH. Bliss!!!! If we got one I'd have to arm wrestle DH to use it. You come up with the neatest things. Love the Facial Flex too. Easy to use and doesn't take much time. I pop it in while I do my Tony Little Gazelle. Thankfully only the puppies and kitties here to see that sight when I do. We'll see how it works for me. I know we're never satisfied. We always feel we need to tweak it up a little to look "right". Gets worse as we get more mature. Was so simple at 25. Get up wash face throw on some blush and a dab of shadow, skip the mascara, had great lashes way back, all the while brushing out long thick shiny hair. Now...get up, wash face, go through 3 step facial care, special cream for the eyes, fill in eyebrows and lashes and sigh at my less thick but still shiny hair. Back then I only needed a small cosmetic bag, now I need a bunker What can ya' do Vasa? Age has it's perks and drawbacks. Glad we can laugh at some of them and have lots of company. I just relish the fact that I am now healthier then I have been in a long long time. I'll just cover the mirrors from the neck up Say HI to your guys and YOU get better. My DH is feeling better. Still sounds a little froggy but is better. Have a better Friday... Sensa and me...perfect together!!!!

Hey Vasa...did you get to watch any of the shopnbc Sensa shows? Got a chance to call in and had to wait in line to talk. They were busy on the phonecalls to talk. It was great. Got a chance to see some of the folks from the trysensa forums on tv live. Nice to hear so many men calling in too. Decided to check out their forums and was surprised how many guys have joined. Nice to see the mix and lots of couples. DH just reminded me that guys get chubby too.. geez. Was just wondering if you had a chance to watch.
Spent the rest of the day over daughters finishing flower beds with bulbs. Had to till then lay down chicken wire and weed barrier, then plant. I hate snipping wire. Was good to be outside. We all went to dinner afterwards.
How is the mouth?? I'm hoping you're doing better.
Sensa and me...perfect together!!!

Hey!!! My pain is gone and swelling also after I took antibiotic for almost 6 days. What it was? I only hope that it won't return in future. Just a nightmare it was! Strange news: got a postcard from HSN that they canceled my all future shipments of Sensa "due to inventory shortage", so I am now going to order it from SNBC, beginning from month 3 to continue some maintenance.I found that I simply afraid to be without it. Interesting, a? Tomorrow is Wednesday, please post. Best Vas

Hi Ladies!
I just got my Sensa today. I'm super excited about starting. I've read tons of reviews and forums. It looks like if you have a problem with portion control that Sensa will work wonders. Considering how I have the "clean your plate because there are starving kids in Africa" syndrome, I'm hoping that Sensa will help me. I have 25 lbs to lose by my next (30th) birthday in one year. I ran home for lunch to pick up my Sensa and tried it on a chicken sandwhich and fries. I have to say that i REALLY like it for a couple of reasons:
1. It was like adding a pinch of salt to cookie dough batter; it doesn't really taste salty but it brings out the flavor sooo much.
2. I can already tell it will my french fry addiction. The Sensa made me taste something that I've never noticed before...I don't like the flavor of the oil they were fried in. Amazing that after the millions (not an exaggeration) of french fries I've eaten in my life I just realized it! I know it was the oil and not the Sensa because I sprinkled it on my sandwich too and it was fabulous.
3. I'm always in a rush for everything including eating. It actually took me 40 minutes to finish lunch. This is NOT the norm for me on any level. And I still feel full. Usually I eat and then I'm looking to see what's next.
I'm really super excited and can't wait to see what Sensa does for me. I've decided to focus my first month on developing the sprinkling habit and not focus so much on how much I lose. I don't want to rush this time.

Hi CarimelDream! And welcome! Looks like you have a nice beginning! With regular use of Sensa, you'd find a lot of surprises, like unusual satisfaction from smaller portions and lack of evening urges to eat something. Do not skip meals and drink a lot of water.Try to eat more vegetables as a side dish instead of carbs. Just listen to yourself and stop eating when you feel first sign of fullness. Go on the scale once a week and write down your weight.Don't be discouraged if your weight start "jumping" up and down in the beginning. I and TOOMUCH are here and wish you Good Luck ! Keep posting your progress! Best wishes Vasa

Hey Vasa!!! YIPEE!!!! I'm glad your pain and swelling are gone They couldn't figure out what hit you?? Good grief!!! Glad the antibiotics took care of it anyway. Would still be nice to know what the heck triggered that kind of pain. Now you can get back to enjoying things again. That's good!! You know I'm a little surprised they were shipping so long after stopping the sales. Maybe it's a conflict thing with snbc...eh who knows?? I know what you mean about having it around, at least for a while. Kind of a "good luck charm". If it's there everything will be fine. You probably won't be using it and it has a long shelf life. I'm hoping this 6 month stretch gets me to or close to goal but I know I will have it on hand. I'm in a shopping funk. Antthony has 2 outfits and 1 top I really love. Will be getting the top but I am in love with the outfit in OLIVE. It is absolutely beautiful. But I look like a space critter in olive First time I've ever fallen in love with a color over a basic black outfit....and wouldn't you know it's the absolute worst color for me. Had an miserable time on the roads today...rain, hard for two days in a row so everything was flooded. Including the highway, both ways that I need to get home. Sigh...lots of tieups. Finally got home had my salmon and now I'm less grouchy.. Didn't weigh in this morning because I needed a head start but did after supper and came up with a net loss of 14 oz. No shivering this last week so not bad Going to check my basement and see if I need to give it a bailout. POST!!! Sensa and me...still perfect together!!! Now if on days like this it could turn me into a duck for a while I'd really be happy.

Hey there CarimelDream!!!! Welcome aboard.
You really sound like you have it all together. Great attitude and a game plan. Know about that "clean your plate" stuff. Never figured out how my porking up would help those poor kids but I guess when you're little and coming from the parents it makes sense.
Loved your comparison to the cookie dough. That really explains it to a T. What you mentioned about the french fries has me wondering if that may not have been a little of what happened with chips and me. Lost craving for them first and haven't wanted one since. Hmmm!!
It's great you're hitting a reaction with meals too. WTG!!!
I'm excited for you too. Take your time and pay attention to yourself. This is one time it really is all about YOU. Just like Vasa said eat your veggies, listen to your body and stop when feeling full...especially if you are eating Sushi...but that is another story.
We're here if you want to talk, we always like to talk, ask anyone...hehehe. Seriously , I've leaned on Vasa now for 7 months and it's nice to bounce things off of people doing the same program. Good or bad we'll listen. Have a funny feeling though that you have done your homework and you know exactly what you are doing.
We're here...Positive energy going your way!!!

Hi TOOMUCH!!! 14 oz is a deal too!!! Do not st0p! I think, that in your stage, you'd stop losing rapidly each time, but will go more like a zig-zag, LOL.
They still don't know what it was. Just said - "bacterial infection".From what??? I am so scared that this thing returns, that I decided not use Plackers flossers that I always buy in our Pharmacy store ( you know, with mint flavor). Just discovered that they made you know where, and only distributed in San Diego... Who knows, what if it was something there.. DH thinks that it very well could be judging what they sent to US before, like toys with lead, tooth paste with some dangerous substance, dog food, etc. Of course, I always just take one from the package and use it one time. Maybe, I was supposed to wash them first? LOL. I and DH check and recheck everything we use and suspicious of everything now!!!He saw my condition and it was not a joke and he afraid that it could happen to him too.It is an endless topic now.
What items are you going to buy from Anthony? Just curious. Maybe, I need them too? As to mostly black color, I was guilty too. Just open a dresser, and you'd see everything blackish, very boring site. Not now! I even have bought a sweater in bright yellow!! And I like a different one in orange. These colors were always a no-no ...
Ordered Sensa. Want to have it, just in case.
Be careful on the road. Hate bad weather. Next will be snowstorms...Life... How is your DH? Everything is gone?
Stay healthy, eat salmon, LOL... By the way, ducks don't eat salmon.... Vasa

Hi Vasa!!! If I'm going to zig - zag I'll be needing my seasick pills Yeah I knew it would slow down. Now comes the more stubborn part till I get to the Sumo pounds. Then it's battle time!!! LOL Ok ... so they say "bacterial infection" but they can't give you a hint? You know I never would have thought of things like flossers but it can happen. Mouth, gum tissue all it would take is a little nick. I'm going to check out my floss!!! I had enough getting hit with that stomach issue with the Peanut Butter back a couple of years. Had bought several jars and used it every day. Was sick every morning and couldn't figure out why till they issued the recall. You just never know. Well went back to the fashions and my pantset was #407-951 and is now no longer available in anything but turquoise in my size. Sigh...go look at the pic though and you'll see what I meant about the Olive being the best color. It just made the whole outfit POP. I also love the twinset #467-263 in the olive...same reason. My last is 501-698 but that one I'm getting in blue.. DH said to more black. He used to say that when I hung up my clothes it look like a convent closet. I love that you got yourself a bright yellow sweater. That will take the gloom off of Winter. Ditto for orange. We're getting brave lady. Good grief I hope the wet weather stops before the temps go low enough for snow. I'll be tunneling DH is much better. Still a little post nasal drip but much much better. Now DD...eldest...has the head cold. Well we were over her place working to get the house ready for in-laws so I guess it was bound to happen. She just has to get better quick. Doesn't need them to get sick and tell everyone back home how the American side of the family gave them the ickies HMPH...well no Salmon no duckie....PELICAN?? HEHEHE...Sensa and me...perfect together...well them yeah...me getting there!!!
