Vasa you are a doll!! Thank you so much for getting back to me so soon. I'll be seeing her today and I'm going to relay how your're managing maintenance. When she asked for advice I told her I didn't have a clue because I was a long way off yet BUT that I knew a good Coach who had done the battle and was now holding steady. She will be thrilled with the hints. You have great guidelines.

Hmm I think that the porky little tomato stealing bandit got a little nervous when I started chasing him with my stew pot and bottles of thyme and sage. I still can't believe that the stinker snarked my veggies. I can guarantee he's healthy. Organic produce, fresh air and running from me. We're an all inclusive spa here d'oh!

I'll let you know how I make out tomorrow. Don't stop that spitting now.

Sensa and me..perfect together!!

Have a great day!! Cool

Hey TOOMUCH!
In my imagination, I just see you with all your kitchen tools chasing this poor thing!
You need make a video! Honestly!

Today I almost spitted on DH (did not hear that he is near me guessing that I am alone in the room) and then started knocking - he thought that I suddenly went crazy...Asked me if I am OK and what in the world I am doing... I explained that I am on duty and can not stop until Wednesday - you should see his face...he was really worried.LOL.Think

So,do not let me down LOL, or he will make an appointment for me to see a shrink soon.

Best

Hey Vasa!!! I think your DH and mine might want to book us a doubles session. I think half the neighborhood heard me cussing out the porky little waddler. He did eat up my potential marinara sauce after all d'oh! . Now you, on the other hand, were just doing your friendly duty. DH needs a horn when you are working your charms to let you know he's around. It's not as if you did it on purpose Whistle Winking Happy 2

Let him know you are not only NOT crazy but it wasn't for nothing. LOL Scale this morning started with 16 not 17. I am at 169 and 6 ounces. WOO HOO!!! Life is very good indeed!!!!

Hey how goes the Facial Flex?? The massage book is very nice for stress and sinus and headaches but not much for the skin.

Yes I do need to shoot videos. That one would have made you tube and if I did one of me getting up off the Pilates Power Gym it would be in the funniest class too. Hey I got ok'd for a few of the other exercises. Not all but I can add some. No 100's yet though. Says too much stress. I'm happy.

Have a great day Vasa. Oh my friend says THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. You made her day with your hints and with your success.

Sensa and me..perfect together!!

Just imagined my DH with horn...ROFL!!!!!As if here is not enough spitting, salting and knocking, now this horn - major laugh! People would think that a whole family suddenly went crazy...Just priceless!!!

Hey Vasa!!! Our anti-virus sneezed today and sent the 'puter into slow mode. Sigh! Back on and dandy now and trying to figure out Facebook. My kiddles think I need to enter the new century already. HMPH!!! More to learn.

No Champagne here either Not talking Had to settle for coffee with Belgian choco truffle coffeemate instead. Was good but was not Champagne. Orange juice is good too, especially mixed with CHAMPAGNE. I have a theme here, I think, maybe, but it just might be I'm on Facebook rules overload.

Oh so your DH feels bad for my "poor" Dh eh??? And they say women stick together like glue. HA!!! Just for that he gets the really big horn. My "poor" DH spent time poking me in the ribs...reason..."He was able to find them really easy". Geez they see a bone and have to jab it.

Hey I say heck have fun and be a little weird now and then. If everyone thinks you are sane all the time you wouldn't be having any fun. Now granted there are limits Whistle Winking Groundhog chasing and DH spitting not included.

You bet Sensa rocks. I have ribs, a collarbone a real neck and I can cross my legs and walk without my thighs touching. It rocks like crazy.

Hugs back at ya' Vasa. Can you tell I'm floating?

Have a great great Friday. I will still be here trying to figure out my new computer world. Sigh, kids!!!

Sensa and me .. perfect together.

Hey Vasa. Down almost a pound for the week. Doing great. Getting into a lot more of the leg pulley exercises on the PPG and loving them. You really do feel them more so I can see the doc's concern. Need to control the movements and not go full ahead. So between Sensa the Gazelle, still standing but looking for retirement, and the PPG I'm enjoying changes.

A couple of my neighbors that I haven't really had an opportunity to talk to stopped to chat over the weekend. I got rave reviews Happy 2 Gotta' love it!

How goes life with you? Friend is still sticking to your words of wisdom and she is doing great. Hope all is well with you.

Oh one bummer. The two outfits I ordered 4 months ago are now officially given away to a girlfriend. They were baggy. Now I have to find something to wear to an event on Sunday. I swore they would be fine. Sigh..Oh well..Shopping here I come.

Congrats TOOMUCH!Dancing
You are going to be thinner and thinner with every week coming!

The only "minus" here is that you will be forced to buy new attire every week also - I know very well how it is going. All of a sudden, your tops and pants look so buggy and frumpy, and ugly, so here you go...DH just could not understand any of it.
The "plus" here is that you would get rid of almost all your previous pieces and get a completely new wardrobe!
I brought 7 boxes to our Salvation Army store.LOL. So, all is for the better.

Sensa rocks!

It is cold here! Now it is around 46 F and on TV they promised frost at night. How about it?
I have a lot of annual flowers in my yard in full bloom, so sad that they are going to die.
I have bought a new coat couple of days ago and it was very warm that time - I thought, I will use it somewhere in October, but today I already wore it for the first time and felt very cozy.

My son came today from college and said that so many students there are sick.Is this a beginning of flu season? How it is in your area?
Auntie will get her shot of new flu vaccine in the middle of October, or she would be restricted from visiting ADC. For her it is mandatory. I am concerned a little. Want to know if somebody got this shot already, and how they feel after.Did you hear something about it?

Hope, you would have a nice event and look very nice and skinny in your new clothes.
Please, post.

Hey Vasa!!! I bet the Salvation Army loves the heck out of you. I know they really need the donations especially nowadays. Wow, 7 boxes is a great donation Applause

I thought I was so danged smart when I bought the two outfits together back in the Spring. I got to wear my Slinky outfit for a family event back then but never got to take the tags off the Antthony outfit. Thats the one I gave away. It was a pair of his really nice pants and the top was black with a button down front designed with white edging going down the button and buttonhole. Really sharp. Guess I was right because my girlfriend wore it to an office funtion and she called to let me know she got a ton of compliments. Nice to know someone did. I wound up cobbling a quickly found pair of pants with a nice tank top and a longer shrug. DH said it looked great, me I was pouting LOL. I'm getting out there and going shopping before I run out of stuff to put on.

Wow you did get chilly. I don't think we've hit the 40's yet but we've had some chilly days and the overnights have been blanket weather for sure. What kind of coat did you get?? Guess that goes on my list too. Bet you're glad you thought ahead and bought one sooner rather than later. Brrrr!!! I know what you mean about the garden. Still have a few small tomatoes trying to grow. Don't think they'll get the chance. Some of my flowers are still nice and full too. Will be sad to see them die off.

So far I haven't heard of too many people being sick. Guess colleges would get hit hard. Kids are so confined and everybody touches everything. My daughter teaches so she may be forced to get the shot. I'm worried for her because she has lousy reactions to the regular flu shots. Takes after me. I'm not getting one if I can avoid it. Last time I had the flu shot I was sick for a week. They won't say for sure if this has more of a chance of causing a bad reaction if you normally get really bad reactions to the normal shots. I'm more than a little leary. I am staying stocked with antibacterial gel and wipes. Use them and wash hands like crazy. Also trying to go where I need to go at quieter times. Hope your Auntie will be fine. Heck I hope we'll all be fine and it won't be as bad as they say.

Hey my mother today told me not to lose any more weight ROFL. Now that's a first!!!

Take care Vasa and stay warm in that new coat.

I love my Sensa but gonna' send them my new clothing bills Winking Happy 1

LOL! Your last couple of sentences were sharp: about your mother and clothing bills!

I think, what you mother said - it is a beginning of a whole bunch of suggestions like this - but I have started to hear them much later on the program. Probably, your appearance now is very striking Angel- the difference!- if your own mother said that. And it will be even more so for people who did not see you for the long time... I remember that sometimes it was kind of discouraging and not very pleasant because I wanted to lose more.
Be prepared and don't lose your good mood as it happened to me that time!Anxious

I tried a million coats in dept.stores, but could not find the one I liked. Finally, I bought a nice quilted coat, very light weight but warm, kind of dark olive color - ordered on-line.But I still need a real winter coat, still looking, just do not want to upset DH again LOL...

As to 7 boxes, I kept all this stuff for 10 or more years (why? nobody knows, I guess, I "felt thrifty"...LOL), and I have another 7+ of other stuff to bring, than, maybe(?), I would have a decent basement..LOL

As to me, I continue "my regimen" on Sensa but today felt "lighter" than usual again - could it be that I am losing now? Unbelievable! I did not use Sensa for 2 days! And as you probably remember, I always had this strange feeling before losing 1 or 2 pounds. We will see later...
Perhaps, after completing Sensa program, we should start thinking of writing a book - how about it?Eh? We have such an experience... 2 authors... I like especially the book-signing part LOL...

Sensa rocks!

You have wonderful rest of the week, shopping and all!
Post.
Take care
Vasa

Hey Vasa!!! What a week. Family invasion for supper last night so didn't get on here till way late and brain was not in gear. It just wanted sleep.

My mother was a trip on Sunday. This woman has starved herself her whole life to remain a size 4. Nah, with you as my example I'm not going to let her get me away from goal, which isn't a size 4 LOL. I don't know what gets into some people. Maybe they just don't like it when something that makes them feel better about themselves changes.

I can believe it that you tried a million coats on. That department is like a whole other world in the stores. I have to look for one very soon. Woke up to 51 degrees here. Local weather said it made it down to the upper 40's last night. Your coat sounds really nice. I love when they are lightweight. Hate feeling weighted down. Oh go ahead and upset DH....remember his comment when you tried on your old coat. I'm going to remember my DH spitting soda when he saw me in what was my favorite dress the other night. I'll remember it as I checkout with my new goodies. Hah..a new top for ever spilled drop. I love dark olive, can't wear it cause it looks not so hot on me but I love it. My sister's fav color to wear in the fall. She looks great in it.

When I was gaining weight I would donate my nicer stuff to the womens shelter here. They needed clothing, especially plus sizes, for women to be able to go out and do interviews for jobs. I'm going to look and see if they are still around. I have a few really nice outfits, Slinky and Carolyn Strauss, they may be able to use. Hey when you get your basement decent come over and help me with mine. I keep swearing I'm going to ditch the boxes. I need an intervention!!!!!

Yep I remember that you always seemed to know exactly when you were on a losing streak. Wow!!! You just got a new coat so it would figure. If you did you have to write Sensa and let them know your story. They enjoy finding out how their success stories are doing after reaching goal, and how they are managing their weight loss. You are a great role model. How goes the friends??

How's Auntie?? I hope she is still enjoying her new friends and fun at the Senior center.

I love the book idea. Glam shots on the cover of courseCool Actually we could probably write one heck of a book. The ups and downs of chucking the weight. The perils and pitfalls of forgetting the sprinkles. The carpal tunnel syndrome the first weeks from sprinkling every 10 minutes, that would be me Anxious . The lucky charm section would be all you. DH could write a footnote. Happy 2 Ahh book signing, luxury hotels, whirlwind trips what fun!! It does sound fun!!!!

Ok weeks loss is a pound. I'm mega happy, take that Mom LOL. 12's are zipping very easily now and the spillover is getting much better. Working abs like crazy. Skin really fights back when it's been deflated. Especially older skin. It will get there. Shopping is tonight and this weekend. Shoes tonight. It would appear my feet got smaller?? Narrower??? Aw heck I'm going to try on shoes. And a pair of boots, I'm freezing.

Have a good one Vasa.

Sensa and me...perfect together.

Hey guys...I'm new here. I came across this thread while searching online for reviews about Sensa, and I'm curious to hear about your experiences, if you're willing to share. It seems both of you have had good results.

Just to tell you a little bit about me - I'm a girl, 21 and in college, but I'm not looking to take off just the usual college "15." I need to, overall, take off a good 70 pounds, but I'd love to take off 30 over the next few months and keep it off. I've taken appetite supressants (prescribed to me by my doctors), and they work great...until I get taken off them and then I gain back 20+ pounds in half the time it took me to lose it all. I consider myself to have no will power OR self control when it comes to food.

I've been struggling with my weight since I was 8 years old (when I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism - a disease that almost my entire family has). I had a metabolic test done this summer and found out that my body only burns 1300 calories a day naturally. They say that to lose one pound per week, you have to take 500 calories out of that. That means I would be eating 800 calories a day. I think we can agree that would not work.

So basically, I'm wondering if you'll share your stories about Sensa. I'm an unpaid intern at the moment - meaning I don't have much money to spare. Want to see if it's worth the money. Have either of you been on it longer than 6 months?

Thanks, you guys! Hope the spirit moves you to answer.

Of the tens of thousand of people who purchased this product on HSN, these are the ONLY two who still CLAIM this product worked for them. Do not bother wasting you time and money for products making undocumented claims. No scientific studies verifying product can make these wild claims.

If you are interested in weight loss you will sustain, you need to look at lifestyle changes. You stated that in the past you could only lose weight on from your doctor. You need to WANT to do this for yourself. If you truly want to make a difference, find a good dietician and an exercise program. It will be work, no easy way out, however worth the effort when you accomplish your goals.

Hi Nbyevu...nice to meet you. I've got to tell you that reading your story was a little spooky. While growing up relatives would tell me that they didn't know what happened to me after the age of 7. Until then I was stick thin and after that age I "bloomed". Began putting on weight very easily. I suspect that was the beginning of the end for my thyroid too. Of course we're talking the dark ages here. I'm quite a bit older than you...mid 50's so tests for that were really very uncommon. Like you I did the diet pills and just about everything in between. When the thyroid issue was discovered it took a few years to find the right medication for me that worked to keep me awake and active to any degree ..so I'm on Armour thyroid.

Don't know what you are doing for yours but make sure you get the right help for yourself on that count. Most important thing you can do.

Now about Sensa. When I started in February of this year I weighed 217 lbs. At 5' 3 1/2 " tall that is some body. I was a huge, no pun intended, skeptic but decided to give it a go. My first two weeks were a little scarey. Having to pull out the shaker for EVERYTHING I ate was intimidating. I was a drive by snacker and a really big fan of cheesecake and cookies. I had my own version of "It's only a couple ..of cookies, chips, m&m's...what can it hurt" diet going on. I really didn't think this would help me cut down. For me it workded two way 1. It reved up my perception of what I was eating, I felt like it was more than it was and started feeling fuller on less 2. I really became aware of what I was eating. You can't not know you just snacked when you have to use Sensa again and again. I'd say it was around week 3 it kicked in for mealtime. I would be eating and there just came that moment when I really didn't want another bite and the food looked unappetizing. My husband called it the moment my pop up timer went off. He could always tell when I was done. Now he and my daughter are on it too and I know what he meant.

It works differently for everyone and not at all for some but for me it was a blessing. I now take in around the 1300 calorie mark and after losing 50+ pounds I am healthier than ever. Sensa didn't make me get active but losing the weight made me want to do more. While I always used a Gazelle, I now use a Power gym system and even get in a little free weight exercise. Not getting winded helps. I don't feel like I'm missing out on snacks or extras because if I want it I can have it but I no longer want it. Snacking mode even while stressed out is gone.

I'm starting my 9th month and I have about 20-25 to go. So this isn't a "miracle" loss product nor is it a program that doesn't teach you something, about yourself and about eating. You learn portion control and size by way of your decreasing appetite. You learn what your body is happy eating and what is too much. What you have to do while using Sensa is LISTEN to what your body is telling you. It will tell you to stop eating but you still have to put down the fork and not push passed that point. You will feel full faster on less and will feel bloated and not so hot if you push to eat more. At least that was how it worked for me and LOTS of others.

If you really want to find out more go to the trysensa site. All the usual stuff before and after trysensa. You will meet up with a load of others who will be thrilled to talk to you and a staff that will answer everything you want to know. If you have facebook try typing in Sensa in the search and you will find their page that way too. Nobody there will bite I promise. Just nice people with a wide range of stories and backgrounds.

Hope this helped a little. Like I said ... It's not a one size fits all program but it worked for me. Blew my budget tonight on new tops and a new winter coat Winking Get all the info you need .. go check out their site... and decide from there. Good luck in anything you decide to do. Geez I'm just trying to remember what 21 felt like LOL.

Best of luck!!! If you have any questions I can answer from a Sensa user viewpoint let me know. Give a shoutout to Vasa. She is great support too.

Hey TOOMUCH!
Wonderful post above!!Really.
I feel, that you are ready for the book signing!(Joke)

Congrats on your pound lost! Sensa works all the time for you!

I lost a pound also, as I suspected. Very strange. At least, it did not show on my face yet, maybe because I use FF... I forgot to tell you about Facial Flex: I use it and it works, noticed results after 2 weeks. It really lifted my cheeks. Some people said that it could increase wrinkles around mouth, but what good is if you do not have these wrinkles there but your whole face is down?

Heard that you have bought new things? What coat did you buy?
It is cold here! Especially at night - I used a heater already.
Just looked at HSN's selection, check #442-231, it looks cozy, a?

Have a nice week ahead! Stay warm! And post!

Hey Vasa!!!!

Oh yeah I've warmed up my writing hand Happy 2 Too funny.

Thanks on the congrats, but it's you who needs the congratulations!!! You lost and you're not even trying. Gee I hope when I get there that it does half as well for me. Ok on the Facial Flex...that is so good to know. Will have to get one. My cheeks could use a bit of lifting, like a whole lot. I agree with you. If your skin is sagging it ages a whole lot more than a few wrinkles. A good cream can ease them up a bit.

I bought a whole lot of stuff. 7 new tops and a jacket. Stadium with a double zipper and really nice hood that can detach. Color is blackberry. Really nice and will be toasty warm. They didn't have that much left. I think everyone is expecting a cold winter. Bought 2 turtlenecks, and 2 knit sweaters plus a couple of basic everyday tops. My big find was a really nice Dana Buckman top. It's black with a really nice collar that can unbutton part way to change it's look. Snazzy buttons too. That's one for going out in. Everything was on sale too so I didn't totally break the budget.

I did yardwork like crazy the past two evenings. I have a ton of energy for some odd reason. Loving it!!! Tomorrow is going to be rainy, windy and chilly. Yuck!!!

My hubby's doc is now using Sensa. She's been thrilled with his loss. His BP is way down. She cut his meds. Can't ask for more than that.

Hope everything is going great with you. Stay warm!!! Hope Auntie and DH are doing well.

Sensa and me....perfect together!!!

Wow, TOOMUCH!
You have bought so many nice things! Wear them in good health and mood on your now slim bod! This is the best reward for all our sprinkling!Boo hoo!

Hope, you are still OK without any flu flying around!

We are OK also, using sanitizer like crazy... Today completed my gigantic work of bringing and sorting all winter things. Spent a lot of time on this and was left with only small pile... Some things that now wait again for Salvation Army, are with tags - "not thrifty" at all... They look on me like shapeless caftans or else.I don't know - it is my figure or fashion changed, or both, but not wearable.I decided that I'd wear what I have for now and will do shopping in spring, because it is unpredictable...DH is glad, I am not. LOL.
So, I think, you have now a bigger wardrobe than I, but be prepared to try them after several month and bring them all in the same place where I am going to go...For people like you and I the best thing would be "disposable clothing" LOL, for maximum of 2 weeks of wearing, would be nice, yea...

Congrats to you DH! I read on Sensa forum that men are doing very well on Sensa.

Stay warm and healthy, use sanitizer, have a nice weekend.Cool

Hey Vasa how ya doin'?? I officially went out and about in the 12's tonight. The middle isn't quite so bad with all the extra ab work so I braved it with one of the new tops. Looked pretty good. I would be happier if the skin bounced back easier but at 56 you can't always get your way with the body. Still need a few things but they can wait. As long as I have stuff to wear out I can wear the not quite so well fitted stuff at home.

Oh no you mentioned sorting clothing. I bet that left pile of yours is really small. I don't think it has anything to do with changing fashion kiddo you SHRUNK!! I know what you mean about shopping more come Spring. Trying hard here not to overbuy now just what is needed. Some slacks I can just belt. They are loose in the legs but hey a nice overtop and it's ok for now. You have more willpower in waiting though..send some this way. After all this the Salvation Army better send you a Christmas card!!! Hey in addition to the book and all the signing maybe we can develop a disposable clothing line Applause We would have a solid market already! Winking

No flu here yet. The only case I've heard of, and it wasn't the swine flu, was a nurse friend of my daughter's. She was sick for a few days. Otherwise so far so good. Oh yeah we are doing the sanitizer thing and washing hands like crazy. It's nice they've installed dispensers in the supermarkets and stuff. I always take those wet wipe things with me too. Just in case. Lets all just stay as healthy as possible. Did Auntie get here flu vaccine? I'm not sure if they've caught up to the one that is meant for folks over 50 yet. Sigh...never a dull moment.

I will give DH your congrats. His doc is really happy both for herself and him. I'm hoping he will get to the point where he doesn't need the BP meds. Would be nice.

We're due for a good cold spell next week. May have to fire up the furnace..or look at our heating bill and pull on my Snuggie LOL. My youngest picked the last couple of weeks to get a new furnace put in. Wouldn't you know there are issues. We're hoping it gets in and running before the temps dip.

Stay warm and healthy too...tell DH that spring shopping is right around the corner Winking Post soon!!!

Sensa and me...perfect together!!!

Heya Vasa...forgot to ask if that item # you mentioned a couple of posts ago was the coat you bought? That was a beautiful item.

Spent the entire day working outside in the fresh air and sunshine. Nice and cool. Hope you had a great Saturday.

Just thinking ... couldn't have done so much work without a break a year ago. Wow!!!

Love that Sensa!!

Hey Vasa..I'm up late...or early depending on how you look at it LOL. Daughter left a little over an hour ago and I decided to finish up a cup of decaf before bed. Figured I'd check out the forum. I know you don't get on much over the weekend..if at all. Hope it was as beautiful where you are as it was here. Cool but lovely. Spent most of the time outside. Helped out my daughter with her new garden. Tilled, put in the weed blanket and planted bulbs. Lots of work and I'm sure I'll be creaky in the morning but it was great. Feels good to be able to do so much and enjoy life. Took the old clothes to the women's shelter this morning and they were wonderful. Stopped at the farm market on the way home from daughter's and picked up beautiful Acorn squash. Fixed the family a hearty meal, yapped all night and here I am. Couldn't ask for more.

Hope your weekend was great and hope to "read" you soon.

Note for Deb/Ok4ablonde...how are you making out getting your Armour? Local supermarket pharmacy here finally got in the 120's but not many. Would have thought the problem would be taken care of by now but maybe not?? Think Hope you are doing ok.

Sensa and me...perfect together.
