Lobo, Did you notice that our board is gone? Where's SoCalGal? I wonder if she knows? Wonder if we broke a board rule? I'm not going to start a new one, because I don't know if we did something wrong or not. I'm going to wait for SoCalGal to come by, and see what she says. Hi, DK! Sorry that you're not feeling well. Guess it's cold and flu season again. Take care of yourself & feel better soon! PB

HI PB, glad it was a false alarm, but you never know !!
We got our wood stove installed and working on Sat. Good timing too, the lows have been in the 30s, with highs in the 40s...brrrrrr. Mr Lobo goes back to work tonight,so I have been practicing my fire making skills and I think I am ready to be left alone over night with the beast....LOL... he will set a fire before he leaves and then redo it in the morning, I won't have to do much atleast until later in the year when it gets really cold .
We had ham & yams for Sunday dinner,so there is ham & escalloped potatos in our future as well as split pea soup...yummmmmm
Hope everyone has a super Columbus Day...tee hee...

lobo-your food sounds yummy, indeed....i had my cereal and coffee, trying to get warmed up, as we got up to more rain....hope all of you will have a great-day...one thing about your stove lobo you will have a place to go to get warm, that's what i like about our fire-place we can turn it on and stand or set in front of it.....but your wood-stove sounds very cozy...hope everyone will have a great, Columbus-day-stay safe...

Can't believe October is half over...pretty soon it will be Christmas shopping time.
Need to get my pictures organized and put some in frames. I love it when I go somewhere and people have pictures all over. Helps make a house a home!

Happy Monday to you too Lobo! Sounds like some good weather finally coming your way.
How is your wood burning stove doing so far? Your sandwiches sound yummy....mmmmmm
I made your spaghetti sauce, so that is on the menu today.
Went to the state fair yesterday...there was hardly anyone there...what a surprise. It does go on for 3 weeks so maybe the next couple of weeks will be better. Had never been to one before. All you do is eat!!!
Hope everyone is doing well.....off to work

Mom is still weak and not eating very much, but still "fighting tough." Sigh...my brother was in the hospital so things have been a tad hectic. He’s home and seems to be doing okay now, thank goodness. We're still having temps in the 80s & 90s so no cooking for me...LOL! Lots of sandwiches, salads, etc. I'll be checking in when I can. Sending out big (((HUGS))) to all the coffee ladies! "Happines is the experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude." ---- Unknown

Hello Socal, so sorry to hear that mom is not doing too well, may I ask her age ? Just curious as my mom will be 87 next month. We talked about her maybe someday moving in with us, she said "I don't want to live with anyone till I HAVE to "....LOL...even then it would probably be my sister-in-law as they live next door to each other in their apt. complex now.
It's back to rain and cold here, the trees all decked out in their best colors now, lots of yellow this year, wish we had some sun to go with ...sigh...it has been a dreadful fall so far.
Made ribs & kraut yesterday, going to make those meatballs & sauce today for tomorrow...trying to keep one jump ahead on the cooking.....LOL
Take care my dear, thanks for keeping us updated, hope your brother keeps improving ! (((((((( HUGS BACK ATCHA ))))))))
