Oooohhh, BUBBO your baked ziti sounds good!!!! And what’s on your dinner menu today Miss Lobo? You are always cooking up something mouth-watering in your kitchen. Seablueeyes~Glad you stopped by the kitchen, good to see yah! Maybe you should give your doc a call and see if there’s a connection with the BP and coffee. Any orange rolls left to go with my cup of afternoon tea? I’m not picky, even a day old one will work for me. Still having our SoCal summer weather here, even if the calendar says its fall...in the mid to upper 80s although it’s coolish in the evenings. Now I’m closing all the doors and windows around 7PM and last night threw a lightweight blanket on the bed. WOW!!!! Go figure!? BUBBO...GOOD JOB on the quiting smoking/drinking !! Very very smart. If I am addicted to my coffee...oh well...other than that I'm FREE !!
I do limit myself to 3 cup a day at most...morning...a MUST have to get the ol' blood flowing, and afternoon, usually out on the deck to enjoy the beautiful weather (when we have it) LOL. Sometimes even an evening cup.
Today was beautiful , sunny but coolish high of 64...fall has fell...LOL

Thanks LOBO1 for the information - I will do the google thing and see what it says.
SOCALGAL - Hello to you. Hope you are doing well. I hadn't checked in on this board in a while and was reading last night trying to catch up on things with you gals. I'm so sorry to hear about your brother's illness. I hope the meds will work well for him. Ten years ago, I lost my oldest son to cancer and I remember for all the years he was sick, I lived in fear of the next MRI and what it might reveal. I will be thinking of you and your family.

Good Thursday morning! Stopping by for a cup of orange cinnamon spice tea before I take Mom to an appointment. Lobo, I wasn’t sure if you’d have any goodies baking so I’m leaving a plate of cranberry walnut muffins. Hope everyone has a GREAT day! BUBBO...LOL on the bedtime -bag -lady -look !!! We should start a club....my attire is a mans, long, off- white thermo shirt and monkey sox.. ( the mottled black & white ones with the red heel & toe that all the clever ladies, like my mom ,use to make into monkeys for the kids) .Add to this my knee high slippers and fuzzy robe and you have my complete "Michigan Danties" collection.

WOW Socal !! You can leave cranberry walnut muffins any time...LOVE those too !!
I bought something we have not had for ages...a hunk of salt pork.I take this, slice as thin as I can, parboil for 10 min. then drain and fry as for bacon. Then I make a gravy out of the pan drippings and serve it with mashed potatos and green beans...this is so very good... a great combo !! Mom made this a lot.
Clouds are rolling in and lots of rain on the way....phoooey !!

Hi devia, good to see you here again ! We had a few posters that had lots of recipes, I think the problem became that they were not original ones. If it has been published, you can't post them. If I do post one, I make sure to mention that it is my cobbled-up, handed down & usually diet Un-friendly recipe .

my first attempt at canning pears ( or anything else) went quite well, I had to guess-ta-mate how much syrup to make and how many pears to peal/core/slice...I was going to make 6 pints but ended up with only 5...not to far off...so I need to go gather more pears to finish the 12 jars I bought...it was a good way to spend a rainy afternoon ! What's on the menu today...we are having burgers & chips

DAISY !!! My poor dear...((((((((( FEEL BETTER )))))))) soon !! If all that food sounds good, you must be on the mend .
When I was small and my Gramma took care of me, it was hot tea & buttered toast, that's all I got if I was sick...and to this day, if I'm not well, I go for that...LOL
The weather here is frightful at best, hard rain & wind...so much for a beautiful fall...makes me wanna cry.
Take care my friend, hope to see you again real soon !!!!!
