Welcome all, grab a mug and sit a spell, spend some time here in the warm/ cozy kitchen..
We had no phone for a while this week, so that means no dial-up computer either !!
I could live without the phone, hardly ever use the contraption anyway but I sure MISSED my 'puter !!!

Shall we start a new thread and retire the tired old one ??
Lets hear from EVERYONE !!

Miss you all ( and you know who you are)

Good morning Lobo! Woke up at 3:00 a.m western time, can't go back to sleep, so maybe I should just have that cup of coffee and start my day. It's cold this morning, for us. First morning below 40 degrees, and set to get down to freezing by Thanksgiving. I guess that isn't so cold where you are, but it is for us. So, please pour me that cup of coffee while I go in the kitchen and get some hot biscuits started.

Kitt, oh my goodness, I haven't seen you for a long, long time. I've made your "Kitt's pie" about 20 times, and each time, people just rave about it.

Kitt, the only stuffed cabbage recipe I have is one with shreded cabbage. Is that the one you were thinking of ? If so I will galdly post it.

Yesterday I fixed poor -mans swiss steak, now allI have to do is reheat and make mashed taters to go with...pretty s-m-a-r-t huh ???

Today starts "turkey week" I will put the bird in the fridg to thaw...let the games begin !!!

Making oragne rolls later, stop by and help yourself..they are very yummy...not mine but the Wmart Great Value brand...we LOVE those...

mmmmmm, thought I smelled those orange rolls! And fresh coffee too! Yummmmm

LOBO, glad your phone (and therefore internet) is working now! Isn't it amazing how much we miss it, and how frustrarting it is, when it doesn't work?

Yesterday a friend of mine had a House Blessing party! Her home is very nice. Her daughter along with two friends put on a hula show for everyone! They've been taking lessons and it was the first time they danced in front of an audience. They were really graceful and did a good job. It was a lot of fun!

Yum, think I'll have another orange roll, hehheee, and some more coffee! Good idea to start a new thread.

Hope everyone has a nice Sunday, seeeeee yaaaaaa, later.............. :-)

Morning to all. I am getting ready for work, but wanted to say hello to everyone.

Weather here has been really nice, low 80's high 70's. I miss the cold crisp air of winter and snow, but my kids told me I'm not missing anything!Surfing

So what is everyone doing to get ready for Thanksgiving? We are having it with friends and I just have to bring some side dishes.

Have a great day, talk to everyone soon!

Tuesday...ond day closer to "T" day...

Off to the grocery today, then mix up the pumpkin pie to bake tomorrow...it really gets a good flavor that way...stale up the bread to be mixed with onion and sage and left over night to flavor...

So how are YOUR plans comming along ?

Hi Daisy..are you fasting today ?? My daughter will be having lunch with us today..do you believe she has today and tomorrow off and has to work on turkey day...grrrrrr ( WMart)

LOBO, thank you for telling me about LadyKat's thread about BJ. I will miss BJ and am saddened by her passing. Remember she used to stop by our fasting threads to say "hi" and encourage us in our fasting? She was very nice and a lot of fun.

I like your idea of a Thanksgiving week break from fasting. :-) I think I will join you in a non-fast Tuesday today. So far I haven't eaten, but I do have left over ribs in the fridge that will be very tempting to have for lunch! So I will probably join you in the break today!

regarding Thanksgiving. My mom said she wanted to go to a restaurant for Thanksgiving. This will be the first year that we did that. (except for one year when we all went to Hawaii during Thanksgiving time, so that year we did have Thanksgiving in a restaurant). Anyway, this year by brother and his family will be out of town at his in-laws, same with one sister and her family. It seems not quite the same, but it WILL be nice not to have to CLEAN UP after dinner!

Dancing Hope you all had a GREAT turkey day! Had LOTS of rain a few days ago. Lots of concern for the folks living in/near the burn areas...fear of mudslides. But everyone seems to have made out ok, thank goodness!Dancing.

It was a nice quiet day here for me and mom. Last week was not a good week for her at all but this week was a bit better for her...YAY!! No turkey small enough just for us so I fixed Cornish game hens. Seemed like I spent just about all day Thursday in the kitchen (BLAH!!) and couldn't get out...Think . I was thinking about fixing lobster tails for Christmas but I might just order something from Bristol Farms. This week was just way too stressful for me...Sick. I'm still not used to my dad not being here with us...
