I have A keurig coffee maker model B60. I won't be using it for about 6 months or so and I'm wondering if it's safe to use it after the 6 months with the water remaining in the inner tank for that length of time. The Keurig people said that the water can't be drained from the inner tank and I'm afraid it will form bacteria just laying in the tank for that long. They said to treat it with vinegar when I'm ready to use it. Do you think that it's safe to use after storing it away in a closet for 6 months or so?

I have that same coffee maker and love it.
Perhaps if you carefully run all the water out
and of course then turn off while you're away you
should be fine. The vinegar is a good idea to run through
when you get back. I would flush with 2 or 3 fillings
of water. Good luck.
