Maybe it's just me, but I would buy so much more from this line if the CZ's were offered in more "believable" mm sizes. Since most of her pieces are somewhat pricey, I would like something more everyday.
Does anyone else agree?

I have ordered and returned 3 pieces of VW I just don't care for her line every ring I ordered from her had some flaw so with the third strike I gave up on her line, its a shame her Jewelry looks so pretty and yeh her jewelry is kinda pricy (for the fashion stuff) but to each her own! Happy Shopping!

I have a lot of her older pieces which were more "believable", i.e. not as big, bold and elaborate. I miss the days when her stuff was more clean in design. The rings sit very high off the finger now which I really don't like. I still get her pieces if they are smaller and to me more elegant looking.

It seems that she takes some metal and throws several handfuls of bling on it. I can't see any design on the pieces because they are covered with too much stuff--just plain gawdy. I have stopped purchasing her items as no one would ever believe I could afford this jewelry. It doesn't even please ME! Her watches have crossed the line as well, in my opinion.

I agree. I realize there are many who like the big, bold stuff. I am one of them! I love big pieces, but for "diamond" simulants, I think that a bit smaller is better! I have only bought a few of her pieces over the years. I love the ones I have, but so many of them are just too big!!! I know she has "heard" this MANY times over the years, but she apparently doesn't "HEAR" it!!! I think she needs to offer both kinds.... big and bold, but also some of the beautiful designs, but using much smaller stones! Are you "HEARING" Victoria??? I think you would sell more pieces!!! Everyone has the will to win but only a few have the will to prepare

Many prefer bold designs and Victoria is a very talented designer of bold & ornate. I have also admired her more conservative style band rings. But I've become leary of some of her stuff because yesterday I transferred all my rings from one of Colleen's Prestige silver safekeeper ring boxes to another one (I place each ring in these as I buy them and they remain in there unless being worn, and get wiped down after wearings) and I sadly noticed that the gold in two of my VWieck vermeil rings had turned a horrible reddish-orange. All other rings whether vermeil, technibond, etc were fine.

I too do not like the very bold looks that she has! But have you tried Victoria's vintage pieces? They are superb! Just like the real thing ! Try some you might like them! Victoria has quite a talent as a designer!

I love her pieces but too me, mm size is not the issue so much as they tend to be too "busy" with all the pave or multiple stone shapes and levels. They are beautiful to look at but are just too fancy for lack of a better term.
And it makes me CRAZY that the center stones are set in yellow prongs. Go into any jewelry store, mall or high end, and center diamond stones are almost always set in white prongs even if the band is yellow. To me, yellow prongs on a center stone are an immediate give away that it is a cz.

Hi KzDz and NurseRecruiter. I just joined this forum and was reading through a few posts and couldn't resist adding to this one. I agree it is unusual to find yellow gold prongs on genuine diamond rings even if the rest of the ring is yellow gold. Most of the time they use white gold prongs because there is no color to reflect in the diamonds, giving them a cleaner look.....HOWEVER.....there are beautiful, expensive diamond rings out there that are mounted totally in yellow gold. I know because I happen to own one. I own a gorgeous 2ct. diamond ring that is mounted in 14Kt yellow gold and every prong on that ring is yellow gold also. It's actually my favorite of all the rings I own. So the next time you see a "diamond" ring with yellow gold prongs, don't be too hasty to assume the stones are CZ.

I just bought a few "fun rings" while visiting Vegas last month. They did such a good job with that. There was also more metal and less rocks which makes it more believable. And come on, that was VEGAS ! I love her designs but I think she needs to tone it down a little. In order for it to look real it needs to look like you can afford it !

I would love to see 7 - 7.5mm CZ's for rings. Anything bigger tends to look fake to me (although I do own a few!).

I wish Victoria would do more items in 14k, and with more believeable carat weights, though I know many like bold and big, there are some of us that want jewelry that looks real. When she first started at HSN she did lots of 14k, not its silver and that crappy vermeil look.

I would love if she did some very delicate tennis bracelets, or maybe initial pendents with small cz on them.

I have many of her pieces from over the years and I love most of them. The one I get the most compliments on is her champagne/chocolate ring set in SS! Everyone loves the ring that sees it.
I like her things for the unique look and design. I will say, I have a line bracelet she did years ago in three different stone designs with the square, round and baguette and everyone thinks its real. My doctor, who is very wealthy, thinks its the real deal and I have never told her otherwise. The bridge bracelet is a big compliment magnet as well.
Her designs in the big and bold are fun and I love them. I don't buy them for the beliveability factor. I buy them because I like the design and it fits my style and personality.
I did buy one vintage ring in the believable style on sale and the gold vermeil reeked of fake! All the other vemeil things from her line I have don't look fake and the gold holds up over the years.

I find VW has some nice cz rings, but as I said in another thread, if you lose a stone after 30 days (or extended warranty expires, which you're paying additional for) you can throw it away (or pay an independent jeweler to fix it!). Not so with QVC's Diamonique, which has a lifetime warranty (both big and bold and more "believable" carat weights available). Another thing that really bothers me about VW, and HSN's rings in general, especially in the more expensive precious metals, are flimsy, narrow shanks on a large ring. That's really skimping. VW is always expounding on the labor intensive components of her jewelry -- so how can she allow flimsy shanks?! Don't tell me "to save on cost"! A top-heavy ring that spins around is worthless. (Ever notice how close together the show hosts keep their fingers when showing a larger ring? In most cases it's not because they're wearing a size too big; it's to keep the ring from sliding around!) I've also noticed that the hosts are usually not eager to show or elaborate on the shanks when they're disproportionately small.

OH NO !!!....You ladies " HUSH"... I LOVE rings, The BIGGER the BETTER !!.. I don't care if someone thinks " that can't be Real". Qvc had enough complaints, now they think 2 Carats is Big & Bold.

LightofDay, you mentioned that some of your Victoria Wieck vermeil pieces had turned an "orangey" color . . . Can you tell me how long you had them before they turned? Or has anyone else out there had the same experience, and could you tell me how long it took for them to turn that color? (I am in love with a couple of her vermeil pieces, but will not buy if they turn so fast.) Thanks!

Tweety~ I have one of VW three piece rings in vermeil. It was orig. $100.00, but I fortunately bought it on clearance. After two months, the vermeil rubbed off of one of the ring guards and now it is a hideous gray color. I hope that you have better luck. Now, I am very leery to buy the "gold" color. The silver seems to wear better IMO.

I agree I use to really like some of her pieces but it seems they are always toooo BIG! If the absolute was a better quality CZ then maybe it would come off better but absolute is not fooling me. I'm one of those who can spot a fake diamond instantly and can tell you the color and size of a real diamond with just one look. There is nothing worse than a big honking fake looking ring. I find her pieces to be way to busy and when it has pave forget about it, the pieces just end up looking like cheap costume jewelry. She would do better to add in a few simpler, less ornate pieces for those of us who do love her originalness in design but don't want to have it all in one ring. Make something for everyone. Those who like the big honkers with lots of stones and gallery work and something smaller 1-3 carats with minimal gallery work and extra stones for those of us who like that style. Your a vendor who sells jewelry how can you NOT have variety! Smaller sizes, less gallery work, IMPROVE the pave rings and please, please improve the absolute cz I have sent back every ring I have purchased because the stones have zero fire, sparkle, brilliance, and scintillation! Honestly I have rings that I got from a stand in the mall for no more than $35 that sparkle like mad. I'm talking white flashes, and that beautiful rainbow effect. Absolute is just a dead stone. My mall rings fool everyone! No one ever believes me when I tell them they aren't real, go figure I spent way less than what Vicky Weick is asking!

MizMommaSmurf, Thank you! You have been a big help. Now instead of buying the ring that I like in vermeil . . . I will buy in silver. Just so you know, the Jean Dousset vermeil that I have purchased is excellent in vermeil. I have even slept and showered in it. And after over two months, it is just as shiney and good-looking as the day I got it!
Thanks again!

I do not buy anything with yellow prongs no matter how nice it looks because that ruins the look. I have noticed the quality on the absolutes is not the same anymore.

Over the past couple of years her designs have become WAY to over the top and unbelievable-- 4-5 ct. total weight is just tooo much for most people's everyday wear. Folr whom sdoes she think she's designing?
