He was okay in the beginning for me; but after awhile he almost sounded fake! I was also totally upset today when they were demonstrating the new spin mop and a host (another english accent guy) pronounced "centrifugal" differently than we do here. The other host repeated the word as we know it; and the guy immediately told her that he pronounced it correctly, as indicated in the english dictionary. Is that the English-Great Brittain pronounciation? I immediately turned the channel and will not watch anyone else with that accent, at least not on HSN. I don't mean to sound prejudiced against their accent. It's just that sometimes it appears to me they have somewhat of a haughty air with their "perfect" english! For me, I think it's related to the fact that they're attempting to sell me something. I don't mind it at all in other settings.

I'm quite sure it was due to divorce. I know exactly what name you are reffering to. I didn't notice any rings she was wearing, so I think maybe that's why. Just a guess!

I read all the posts about Bobby Ray Carter and I agree...she is terribly thin. Her eyes look constantly startled and those long bangs don't help.
I don't know if she has an eating disorder but someone needs to work with her to help her put on about 20 lbs.
Also, she needs to try to stop raising those brows, if she is.

Bill Fahey passed away , I was so sorry to hear it , he was such a great host, I read he passed away from a heart attack , his Family came home and found him, it is so sad.

With every product she would also state "what I like about it is". One time a caller complained about her to another host and said HSN should "get rid of her". I just remembered another host. David Shimkus used to do the Sunrise show with Kathy Wolf. At first a lot of people complained about him but later on he grew on them. He had a large black dog, Dolly, that he would bring in every once in a while. Isn't David the Dyson rep now? My dog was Dixie, she was a red Doberman.

I remember Dan Dennis too. I know that he was real sick and was absent for a while. He came back but then he disappeared again. I must have missed something. He was something else to watch.
Have you seen Kelly that is doing some of Diane's presentations. They commented that she use to be a HSN host. She has short red hair. Last time Diane was on, Kelly did the presentation for DG2 with Robin, I think. Could this be the Kelly you're talking about??
