I'm loving the cooking/entertaining shows today on HSN. I've purchased the EMERIL chicken fryer and am excited to get it. I'm excited for Sunday chicken dinner for my family with a nice salad/veggies-YUM! Reminds me of my mom and her Sunday chicken dinners. Brings back great memories. Sound funny, but I've never made homemade fried chicken. A new family tradition will be starting to pass on to my children. THANKS EMERIL & HSN!!

I think the cooking shows are great, too. I constantly feel like running into my kitchen to cook, bake, fry, steam, roast, broil--you name it! VanillaSpice, I have never made homemade fried chicken, either, and I'm 55! Hope you have great success with your new chicken fryer. (Can I come over?)

If I'm not mistaken the Emeril fryer got some bad reviews. I have the Double Elite fryer they have here at HSN and absolutely love it. I have never been able to fry chicken and for the first time. I made fabulous fried chicken. Catfish came out wonderfully as well. I love it. I fry one food on one side and a different one in the other side. Deep fryers are fantastic.

I purchased the cast iron chicken fryer with spatter guard and recipes along with the cast iron cornbread pan.

You should really consider the EMERIL cast iron chicken fryer. It was at a great price! Thanks for the good wishes with the fryer :) I'll post my reviews once I use it. HAPPY COOKING

The EMERIL chicken fryer is item #529-751 if you are interested in checking it out. It is priced at 39.99 with reduced shipping and handling and includes like 5 recipe cards, the spatter guard and the cornbread pan. It is a pre seasoned cast iron set.
