Did anyone see the Timmy Woods Handbag show on HSN on November 5? It was exquisite but expensive. The purses are hand carved from acacia wood. I have never seen handbags that beautiful. Apparently, Timmy Woods is a famous designer who has a store in Beverly Hills. Her handbags are works of art and are carried in only the finest stores and boutiques. Ladies.......jump on this one. These handbags are for true divas and handbag lovers who have everything. I must have one.

Great handbags but do not hold much. The famous "Tower" handbag with the stones(also make one without stones) is marked down on another internet site. I paid full price but it was worth every penny plus some. I make up for the cost by not purchasing reduced items that I do not need but used to buy anyway because the item was a good deal.
Issy if they did not sell out, watch and maybe they will be reduced here in a few months As a local store owner tells me, it takes a special person to want a TW's handbag and they all deserve one!

I checked out the Timmy Woods bags and all I can say each to their own!!! I was not impressed at all with the bag or the price. The bag looks like it belongs in a curio cabinet. For the price of the bags, I would be to scared to carry it out...anywhere.

I watched but did not purchase. Has HSN forgotten that we have jobs, families, and usually we women think of our kids and extended families first before we purchase wooden bags at hundreds of dollars. Oh I thought they were beautiful but I agree they look like they should be in curio cabinets..I do not think they look like something we would be using.. Just my thoughts..

There used to be a store here that sold them. They had a video showing how the local craftspeople made them etc... All I can say is that when you actually hold one in your hands you can really see the craftsmanship. Would I use one as a bag? Probably not, they don't hold much. Would I love to get one as a gift? Definetly... especially the cat, as we have three. They are quite the conversation piece...
Needless to say, they didn't sell many, even in a tourist spot, and went out of business.

Not practical at all. To me, these bags are not for the everyday woman who works, runs kids...etc. They are way over priced.....for the everyday woman. $2000.00 for a purse (the butterfly)? Please!

Maybe this is why Shop NBC stopped selling them. They are beautiful and finely crafted, but are not practical for even a night on the town.

They were unusual and looked very interesting, but I know I would have no use for a bag like that, but I could see stars walking the red carpet carrying them.

TwilightDancer......I am definitely going to wait until they are marked down. I am a single girl, with no children, so I don't have the same concerns as the ladies with families but I am watching my budget like everyone else. I do understand that they are not practical for the average person. I also agree that the purses on HSN have gotten really, really expensive, even for handbags that are not made of leather. I would love to have one for a "night on the town" sort of thing.

I have several Timmy Woods handbags and am an avid collector of Mary Frances handbags as well. Most of my TW bags are from the Santa collectible line she does each year. Her Santa bags are remarkable! No they're not practical bags but they really aren't meant to be. They are accessories and I have to say they are real conversation starters! I love all my little bags

I love all my little bags How wonderful! I have looked at the Santa bag every year and they get better and better. The glasses are too cute. I do have quite a few Mary Frances bags and actually found some at a local donation store that the proceeds go to The Battered Women's Shelter. I paid $5.00 per Mary Frances bag. I don't think the store volunteers knew what they had or they would have purchased the bags. I want the Black Jag (Woods) bag as one of the cars I drive is a Black Jag Maybe Santa will bring it to me. Cherry just enjoy looking at your collection. That is worth the money if you can swing it.

CAROLINAMODEL.....Thanks for the tip on Mary Franes handbags (I didn't know about them). I checked them out.....OMG, beautiful. I love them. You were lucky to get them for $5.00. Something else to add to my wish list.

While these bags are amazing works of art, I'm more of a slouchy, soft-as-butter, lay against your body, type of bag fiend. I don't even carry clutches because a) I'd lose one in a heartbeat and b) I need more than a lipstick and keys. However, I do admire others who carry them and feel the same about the TW bags. I have a girlfriend who has several and when we meet for drinks, I'm always complimenting her bags and vice versa. Not for everyone, but the same can be said about my favorite type of bags.
