I hope this will comfort you snappygrandma by reading daily how the people that come on this board care about you and your DH, that is so sick right now. I have read a lot of posts and have also told you that I pray for him and you daily and I do! I have tears coming down my face right now when I read about the picture on another thread and I do hope you will be able to do this I think this is a great idea! Please know you are not alone and we are very caring people that like to get fussy sometimes but all in all I care very much and my prayers are with you daily! Bless you and your DH! Please keep this going for them and snappygrandma please post us here how he is doing!!

Rose,What a great idea. She can still post with us everywhere else but this will be a special place for her to tell us how he is doing and all of us let her know how much we care. Sometimes I am in a rush and log in,wondering if she has info for us and afraid I might somehow miss it. Thank you,Rose, and we can keep this bumped up for her and those who want to post to her. You and your husband are always in my prayers,Snappy. You are a very special lady and dear to so many of us.

Thanks for starting this. I have thought of it several times as I don't read the really long threads. I don't want to miss out on Snappy's news.
Snappy, I think about you and your husband everyday and wish you both comfort and joy together no matter what you might soon face. The future is unwritten, and I love your willingness to find laughter, fun and silliness even in the face of adversity. I know that must be part of what makes you so special to your husband.
You're very funny, clever and I look forward to saying "hi" to you here when I get a chance.

Dear, dear Snappy, I've written and erased this message to you several times already this morning. I just can't seem to get what I want to say to appear on the screen. Maybe I should just say that you and your darling husband are in my prayers always.

Warm and fuzzies here too. I don't think we need to keep our warm and fuzzies on just one thread though. I hope we can still let Snappy (or anyone else) know how we feel anywhere on this bulletin board.

Dear Rose, While scrolling down this page, I came upon this thread you started as a place for my friends to conncect with me about my hubby's health. I had a long reply ready to post, and it disappeared, so I'll try again. Thank you for caring about us, and for offering me this way to keep you informed about him. It's a precious gift from ladies who have come to mean so much to me. devia, Raeli, coco, BASSETBABE, ladycat, Smillime, GardenMama, Hitsville, I've read all the loving, caring, encouraging words you have sent to hubby and me, and will read them again and again in the days to come. That's one of the wonderful things about this method of communicating. You can't know how helpful your comments are, or how stunned and grateful I felt to see your caring in print. The hospital called today. They have hubby scheduled for his biopsy on Monday, November 9th. We have to be there at 9:30 a.m., and the biopsy is set for 11:00. They will be keeping him for some time afterward to make sure he is okay, so I don't know when I will get to let you know how that goes. But, now there is a place where I can leave a message for you. He had this sort of biopsy in the neck when they first found the cancer. He didn't do well. He shook so violently, that they thought he was having a seizure. I told that to the lady at the hospital today, so they would maybe be extra careful. The last one was done elsewhere, and on another part of his body, so I'm hoping this will be easier for him, because he is much weaker now. Tomorrow I have to take him to the dental oncologist as the tooth they worked on recently has become very sensitive to cold and hot things. I'm grateful that we got his handicapped placard, as the parking structure is huge and hopefully we can park near the elevators. Thank you doesn't say enough. It's all I have as a means of expressing my gratitude, and I want you all to know that I pray for you as well as I know your needs. I still want to be my silly self and engage in our usual banter. Enjoy your evening, one and all, and may the Lord bless you.

I had no idea there was such a person and I will pass that info along to my hubby for future reference. Blessings to you!

Snappygrandma, we're thinking about you. I will be sending prayers for your husband on November 9 and hope that it will go smoothly and relatively painlessly for him!

Raeli, there is an oncologist for everything. Hubby's radiation treatments mostly destroyed the salivary glands in his mouth. After a person has dry mouth, ordinary dentists can't do the work. Hubby can never have a tooth pulled, as the site would never heal. If he were to get an infection in the mouth it would be a very bad thing, as antibiotics need a blood supply to get to the site of the infection. The best way to treat that would be in a hyperbaric chamber. But, that's why hubby must brush and use fluoride with diligence. Saliva cleanses our mouths of bacteria. A person without saliva, has to keep the mouth clean in other ways. This specialist is fabulous, and his euipment is out of this world. It's a 45 min. drive each way, and he won't be there tomorrow, but they can take an xray and one of the other dentists can address the problem. It's so nice to talk with you. You must miss Flo terribly.

Hello Snappy...I've been MIA on the boards in recent weeks so I'm getting behind in things (like Flo going to help Santa, etc) but just logged on and saw this thread. I just want you to know how much I care about you and DH and how I admire your strength in the face of so much adversity. I'm glad that you said you want to keep up the banter on the threads. For me personally, humor is the only thing that keeps me going when things are bad for me. I've read your posts for months and months now and have never seen a negative word in any of them. You are a rare gem, snappy! I pray every morning for you and DH along with the folks on our church prayer chain list. Indeed, keep us up-to-date on how things are going. Love is going out to you dear friend...Carole

MOMSKA, I've been missing you terribly. Wasn't it wonderful of rose to begin this thread? I was just blown away when I discovered it. Thank you so much for all your kind words to me now and always. Thank you for your prayers for us. You know that it's my faith that sustains me. I'm just as human as everyone else left on my own. I'm glad you got caught up about Flo being up helping Santa. He got some stimulus money you know, so she'll be paid for her time. We have been wondering how you are feeling, and hoping and praying for good news when you have the time to post here. Thank you, dear friend...B

Snappygrandma, I've somehow missed the original thread regarding your hubby's medical issues so I'm glad I found this one.
I will certainly keep you and your darling hubby in my prayers and look forward to updates when you have the time. Please take care of yourself.
