IMO it appears like HSN is changing a lot and the show hosts are all becoming more hard sell. Those who I watched regularly I find myself seldom watching as they do not give the information on the item but rather why I need it or how I can use it. Doesn't anyone have a measuring stick anymore? I used to do most of my non local shopping at HSN but around the first of the year HSN seemed to change and I rarely ever watch anymore much less buy anything. My primary purchases were gold and gemstone jewelry which is about non existent at this time and I'm not interested in so much costume or silver jewelry sold by celebrites. I also purchased clothing and loved the Carolyn Strauss and Terry Lewis lines which are more limited as they have replaced their time with higher priced clothes catering to the younger women. HSN has recently replaced their sizing with another chart so I'm in between sizes therefore I now buy my clothing locally. It seems like they have the same hard sell vendors (Joy,Tony,Andrew,Jennifer etc) over and over for days at a time so I'm watching a lot more of Discovery Health and the Fitness Channel. Winking If I turn into HSN a total of an hour a week it's a lot.

I think that HSN has the best customer service and they have always been fair with me. I used to love their sales, percentages off and special incentives given to their customers however that seems to be dewindling. I can find better bargains locally with store discounts and specials. I do miss the old HSN but things change and if what they are doing keeps them alive in a bad economy I wish them luck. At this time HSN no longer has much to offer me.

What attracts or distracts you to HSN?

I agree with you HSN has changed , I use to love to shop with them because they had great prices , but now they are selling such high priced items and , I agree with you, you can find better deals other places, I wish they would bring the old HSN back.
I still shop with HSN but not as much , because of there higher end things they are offering and there higher prices.

I used to shop a lot with HSN. I used to buy mostly fine jewelry, some fashions and Elysee. I still buy Elysee but that is about it. I received a Nov. program guide with my last Elysee purchase. The programming was so terrible and predictable, I threw the guide in the trash. The same boring vendors who were on for days in October are back in November.

In this economic environment, most retailers have changed. And there are changes I'm not crazy about.

But........You cannot beat their clearance deals and the number of flex pays they offer. And their customer service is so so so so much better than that of other shopping networks.

I do most of my shopping at HSN and buy a few items at the Q.

I usually DVR the shows that I am interested in,then look at the items on my computer. So far,I am still a very happy customer.Angel

Great sales ,fast delivery and good customer service keep me coming back.

I am not thrilled with the new clothing sizes ,having to guess which size to order now, with their garment size chart. I do order less clothing here than I did a yr ago.

I am not seeing as many reviews as I used to,since they added our board nic to our reviews.

But overall,I still like to shop with HSN.Angel

Today's lineup (Sunday) is mostly electronic items and Heidi Daus--high end stuff. I realize they target the guys who are off work on weekends by offering huge TV's, cameras, camcorders, GPS tracking devices, etc., but women like to relax and watch shopping channels, too, on Sunday afternoons.

Sundays I watch the Q more often than HSN as there are many smaller, affordable items available and I enjoy the cooking shows more than any other. Not the ones with just Joy's pots & pans, however. I have one large set of Wolfgang Puck's cookware and it will last the rest of my life should I live to be 200, I do not need any more!

It'd be nice if HSN had a few hours on Sunday afternoon devoted to the kitchen. I'd like to see more variety in their cooking shows, more affordable cookbooks, bakeware like the Q's Temptations which is affordable, and more unique gadgets that they tell me I can't live without. Dancing

I love watching Heidi Daus because she is such a joy doing the presentations. With that said, her stuff is just too expensive for my budget. I agree about the cooking shows on Q. I also love Temptations-high quality and very affordable.
