Okay..i have slightly dry hair that i color treat and Flat Iron Daily...I used these products and my hair feels so weighed down. I can't wait to get home and use my Garnier Shampoos which work so much better for my hair. I so wanted to like this but it just isn't for me. Sorry i will be sending these back. The packaging was nice though.

Try the vanilla smoothie before you send back the kit - it's my winner Carol's Daughter product!!

Everything else is also too heavy for my hair- and I have semi thick curly hair!

Did you try the shampoo? With all the samples I got at Sephora, that's the one product I haven't tried yet.

This may sound weird, but I do use her Hair Milk, even on my long, straight, lightened, skinny, extra-fine hair. I've found as I've aged, my hair shaft has gotten so thin (think cobwebs here) that I actually need to add thickness and weight to it to keep it from frizzing or simply flying all around my head. I'm serious......it's totally weightless. The Hair Milk smooths it out and helps me style it to stay put. I only use a small amount on my towel dried hair before I dry/style it.

The hair milk i think worked okay but maybe the hair butter was just too much. I will try it again tonight without the hair butter. thanks for all of the posts

I wanted to like these products, however my hair looks greasy and weighted down. My curly and fine hair is now limp. Also, the scents are very strong, and not appealing, especially the hair butter. Will be returning.

I've tried them all with the exception of the hair milk (will find time to try it soon) and I have to say, my hair feels so soft and hydrated! I don't wash my hair everyday (it doesn't need it and, I believe doing so ages you) but by the time I need to wash again, I feel that the moisture has started to leave my hair. So, I when I use these products again, it feels hydrated again. Weird. But I'm keeping them. I like having soft hair for a change. Dancing

I think it takes trial and error. The first time I used it, I left my hair curly. I thought it felt greesy. I wanted to like it, becasue the smell reminds me of some of my Aveda Products. So, I treid it again, a lot less amount, and blow dried my hair. I must say, it looked like I stepped out of a salon, and stayed that way all day, with a light coat of hair spray. I think it's all a matter of finding the correct amount for you.

The trick with the hair milk (my opinion) is to use a really small amount (you can always add a little), and work it through towel dried hair before you heat style it. I can also add a little between washings if my hair gets too fly-away or frizzy. I only need to wash my long, color-treated hair 2-3 times a week, so a bottle lasts me a long time. The lemon smell is strong at first, but 5 minutes after I've used it I can no longer detect the smell.

I really love this kit. I have long (about mid-back) color-treated, very dry hair - has become even more dry this year, as I've had radiation treatment for a health issue. My hair is very fine.

I've tried TONS of products in the past few months, as the products I was using before the radiation, don't seem to be as effective anymore. I have also tried lots of other products that claim to moisturize, but have been disappointed.

I found these products to be very effective, and they don't weigh down my hair if I use them correctly (by "correctly" I mean how I determine it for my hair, not that there's one "correct" way).

I rinse and condition every day, and also use shampoo about 4 times a week.

To me the fragrances are all really nice. The hair milk smells like lemongrass, an unusual and nice scent. I don't find it overpowering - it seems to fade after a while.

I agree with other folks, the hair milk has to be used sparingly. My hair is wavy, so I work in an amount the size of a fat dime while scrunching my hair (I let it air-dry). That's a very small amount of product for the long hair I have - but it works great, and doesn't weigh my hair down or make it "greasy" looking.

I use the hair butter only at night, only where I need it (the ends) and also sparingly, similar to the hair milk. (I read on another site that the best way to use the butter is at night).

Overall, a great kit - has made my hair look markedly better in just a few days.

I tried the hair milk every which way- I had a generous sample from Sephora. It was always on towel dried hair because that's when I use styling product. I'm a wash and go girl! Cool A quarter size- then a nickel size- even a dime size felt heavy! The scent was too strong anyway.

I think I found my hair butter sample- someone posted that it has a strong lavendar scent. I may try that again.

you are using too much. I find I can only use less than dime size amounts of the hair milk, hair butter, the elixir and the balm. The honey mimosa I use even less or it makes my hair too greasy and it does weight it down. I just rub a little on my hand and massage into my hair. Too much and you wind up with greasy, weighted down hair.

I love her products, I just don't care for the scents, I wish that she and others would make scent free products.

i received these products and love them! My hair feels so soft-not weighed down. I have med. fine straight hair, but I can make it slightly wavy by scunchy it. If they had this on auto delivery, I wish I had signed up. These are Great products.Dancing
