Joys EyeGlass Readers I have three different strengths in one order?
I have three different strengths in my one order.
I can use them for different things I need to read
but this isnt right.
They all have the sticker on the glass itself
but the on the arm it is marked different and
I can tell they are either stronger or weaker
then I need.

Hmmmmm.......not sure....but maybe.....

I didn't keep them long enough to inspect the details....

I recieved them yesterday and couldn't ship them back fast enough....

The first pair that I tried were horrible...the ones with the silver arm...they were way too big, way too heavy, would not stay on, the lenses were suspect in that I couldn't see a thing with them , never thought to check the number on the arm, as the sticker said 2.0 which is the one that I ordered, but it didn't seem right.

Also the lenses were cloudy and not clear.

I opened 1 other pair hoping for something better....nope...exact same thing....I didn't even bother with the rest, just taped the box back up and off to UPS. Only wish I weren't out the 6.95 shipping for nothing. They were so awfull I didn't need a 30 day trial to know they are c*arp.

I was reading the reviews and everyone is raving about how much they love them....I am wondering if I got the rejects......cause there is nothing to rave about here.

I can't live without my readers-but I can live without Joys. I think it might depend on how much you use them. I read nonstop, so I would never take a chance on my eyes with sub par lenses. I wait until Lenscrafter has a twofer sale, and I get good quality frames and lens for about 15 bucks a pair. Worth every dime as I can't stand any distortion in my eyeglasses or it makes me dizzy.

I also purchase multiple strenghts-because sometimes I have to stitch a hem or do some other fine reading, and I need the 2.0 to see really tiny, tiny stuff. But I read with 1.5's. At last count I had about 9 pairs-I just leave them out on the table,counter,bathroom,vanity-everywhere. That way either myself or my guests can always throw a pair on as needed as we all seem to be "visually challenged" nowdays.

I am not a fan of JM - I received her TS - the eyeglasses yesterday. I am very happy with them. Mine are all the same strength as I ordered. I like the style etc... I ordered these with alot of aprehension because I really can't stand to hear her talk on any of here shows. A long time ago I ordered the steamer - sent it right back. Again, I do have to say I like the readers. Happy 2

Mine must be rejects, too. The first pair I tried on, I thought, well, that's not very attractive, is it; maybe I can give this pair away to someone. The second pair I pulled out of the pouch, one of the arms fell into my lap. That's as far as I went. The box is all taped up and ready to go back. I'll be looking for LensCrafter's next sale. Oh, well.

I only opened one pair. It was nice looking, and fit well, and I could read with it, but when I looked up, everything was a blur. I would rather have half glasses, so that when I look up, there wouldn't be any lens.
I thought the quality of the one I checked was good, but they are already on the way back.

I received these yesterday. Today I wore the silver armed ones for exactly one hour and 15 minutes before the plastic around the glass snapped in two. They can't go back fast enough. HSN should refund the cost of shipping these defective products back to them. Talk about time and money wasted.

So sorry to hear about the readers but I am not surprised at all. I was so tempted by these I actually ordered them and cancelled the order telling myself I would not buy anything she sells. I just don't watch then I don't know what I missed.

Could not send them back fast enough! Horrible, horrible, horrible. Only had to look at two pairs to know they weren't for me! What a waste of the shipping expense...and I'm kicking myself because I knew better than to order these.

How does the saying go? Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

Lesson learned. No more Joy Mangano for me.

I'm so sorry to hear so many of you had problems with the glasses...what a bummer. I bet the ones that were broken were related to the packing and shipping though.
Are they the same quality as prescription reading glasses, of course not. But for under 5.00 a pair, they worked out just fine for me and are far superior to the more expensive glasses I buy at the corner drug store. These are the first 2.00 non prescription reading glass I've ever bought that don't have major distortion when I look up, and they are nice and clear. Though I agree Joy's stuff is usually junk, I think the glasses are just fine.

I'm glad I didn't order these. I was tempted until I realized how huge they are. I have a small face, and I really need smaller, lighter weight glasses (I like wire rims). Also, I really thought they looked very masculine and unattractive, even on JM! I didn't even know Lenscrafters sells them........I'll have to check that out!

They look just fine on moi. I am 4'11'' and am small-faced.

I wear contacts, have Ann Klein glasses (which I only wear when my eyes need a rest)also have a pair of high end sunglasess.
These are for bumming around the house and they certainly fit that bill. Actually I like them.

I forgot to say- I'm a man. Winking And since a couple of the colors aren't too manly Winking my wife is going to use them. She is very petite and has a tiny face, yet I think they look adorable on her-I call her Sarah Palin when she wears them. LOL
