First post on this forum.... I am in my 40s with dry/normal skin.... I ordered the SSC TS Olive Oil Kit and the SSC Double Trio Kit (Super Mel Line & Night Trio with Supercell Food, Night works, etc). I've used for 2 - 3 days now, and I can tell you I honestly can tell a difference. I also have the Glycolic Cleanser from a previous TSV which I love - but I didn't care for the other products (supercremaium,) I also ordered this a.m. the Elysee Rachel's Holiday Host Pick to try the Elysee products. Has anyone used for SSC and Elysee? Can you share which lines you like better and why? Thank you in advance!

I have used both lines. I prefer Elysee because of the ingredients and the main fact I have seen major improvements. I am almost 60 and have dry, mature skin. My skin is more firm and has less lines with Elysee. When I look at skin care I not only look at the key ingredient but the combination of ingredients. I find with Elysee they not only have a high percentage of a key ingredient, they also include many other great ingredients. I had purchased Dr. Perricone's products in the past. They were very, very expensive. I actually found the Elysee products to have better ingredients, better results at very reasonable pricing.

Elysee has a wonderful site with a great forum. I have learned such interesting information on that site regarding a wide range of beauty ingredients and products.

I hope you find products that work well for you.

My skin is too sensitive for SSC. I have tried it several times in the past and my skin always reacted poorly to it.

I agree with starsdancing. Elysee has a much better ingredient deck. Elysee is about the ingredients and the results. I know SSC has a lot of fans and they sell a lot of product. I believe it is the number one beauty line on HSN. But me personally, I have tried lots of skin care lines and the one that has actually made a difference in my skin is Elysee.

I am glad that the SSC products you have are working for you. Running the skin care gauntlet is a brutal battle. Rachels host pick kit is a good one to get to sample a wide range of Elysee products. The sizes are small but the products are concentrated and a little goes a long way. I love every item in that kit.

I would have to agree with everything starsdancing and pufferfishy said. I started with SSC when I left the drugstore brands. It is a good line, however in my opinion Elysee is in a league by itself. I have strayed from Elysee and tried other brands and there are some worthy brands out there, but for me, none have given me the consistent results that I see with Elysee. I am 59, but you would not know it by looking at my face and neck. Elysee has controled amd restored the sagging and loss of elasticity that comes with aging, also my fine lines and wrinkles are practically non-existent. I think you'll be pleased with Rachel's Host Pick.

Is Elysee more for more mature women or for everyone?

I am 40 and started using Elysee about 3 years ago. So I suppose it depends on your definition of 'mature'. LOL

I think some of the items are made for more mature skin, such as the Collaboost, Perfect Transition serum, cream and cleanser. But I think everything else would work for any age. There are several lifing products which a younger skin might not need. Linda has used the line since she was 5 years old, so I am thinking age is not a factor with Elysee. I wish I had started using them at 5!

Wow - I appreciate all of the responses. I am definitely going to give Rachel's Holiday kit a try! If I wanted to try a basic Elysee routine, what products would I focus on (40's, dry/normal skin with crow's feet)? Thanks for the tip on the Elysee forum - I have registered - but am waiting for "approval".

My daughter who is 32 and has normal skin uses the Youthful Transformation Kit, Wrinkle Defense Cream (which has a large size on HSN right now), Luminacai Cleanser and the Youthspan Resculpting Concentrate on her neck. She doesn't have any sagging issues yet of course, but wants to prevent any problems in that area.
I also use the all of the above except instead of the Wrinkle Defense Cream, I like the Liposomal Cream. I am convinced that using the Youthspan Resculpting Concentrate on my neck is the reason I don't have a "turkey wattle" as some ladies my age do.

In my experience Elysee has less fillers. The serums also soak in & don't just sit on the skin.Angel
I have oily skin. I have tried both brands.

I keep experimenting with a few different lines - SSC, Ice Elements, and Elysee. SSC's Super Mel smells and feels great but I'm not sure I believe that melon is doing all that much for me. Ice Elements AntiAging serum feels good and soaks in immediately and may be helping my skin, but when I look at ingredients decks and pay attention to the cutting edge technology of skin care that Elysee offers, I have to say Elysee wins. I use many of Linda's products and when I've used up all my other products (because I'm compulsive and have to work them in to my routine while I have them), I'm pretty sure I'll go 99% pure Elysee. I ordered two of Rachel's host picks because the value was amazing. The Youth Span serum and the BioAccel were both half ounce sizes (and two of my very favorite Elysee products) and the others are all wonderful bonuses.

I have to keep the trend going. Elysee is the line SSC wishes it could be. Jennifer seems very sweet but SSC cannot hold a candle to Elysee. The ingredient lists don't lie.

Another thing that is noteworthy is that SSC has a lot of heavy fragrance, something you don't have to worry about with Elysee.

You can't compare SSC and Elysee; SSC is more like drugstore brand, and Elysee is top of the line, more actives in the right concentrations.
