I too would be interested in the price. On line it looks like advance orders are around $249. I believe the lowest I have seen is $235 and the highest being $299. But I believe $249 is the going rate. The Gypsy comes with two built in fonts. It would be nice if HSN would offer it for less than $200 and on 5 or 6 easy pays. I might be able to swing it.

So, I'm sure this has already been explained, but can you design your layout on the Gypsy like you do on Design Studio? I don't travel much with my scrapbooking so wondering if it is a must have for me since I have DS. Nutty

Of course, I will be watching!

I think what makes the Gypsy different than using the Design Studio software is you don't have to use your computer any more. And you are right if you have the Gypsy I don't believe you need the Design Studion Software anymore. With the Gypsy you could be at the doctor's office or sitting in your car waiting for your child to get out of school and do your designs. All the cartridges you own are loaded on the Gypsy. I don't go beyond my house very often to scrapbook either. But maybe it would be a tad easier to go to Archiver's for Friday Crop night if I could take my Gypsy and cut my stuff out using their Cricut. I do know that you can zoom in on the Gypsy. I have Design Studio, but I really do not like hooking my Cricut up to the computer.

Hmm, this is interesting. I can see that it would be useful to carry the Gypsy around with me and design my titles, etc., to print out when I get home. Do you think I could do it while in traffic? LOL

My laptop is on one desk and my Cricut is on another, bigger desk on the other side of my very small scrap studio - I use a wheeled chair to go between the two (and that's about as wide as the center of the room is anyway - it's long and narrow). The DS cord is long enough that I can just plug it in w/o moving either machine. Very convenient for my space!

I can see that it would be a pain if I had to use the desktop downstairs or the one in the den, though.

I received an email from Cricut Rewards and it said if we but the Gypsy from HSN on 9/24/09 that we will get 500 bonus points and if we register our Gypsy we get an additional 200 points. That is a total of 700 points that can be redeemed for Cricut items at the Cricut Rewards web site. They have added some new items to the Cricut Rewards web site in the last few days.

Read the fine print on that points offer. You have to register your Gypsy by 9/30. I doubt that anyone will get theirs by then.

I ride a commuter bus to DC everyday -- 1 hour in and 2 hours home -- this will be a great time passer/saver. I have so little time in the evenings - this will allow me to play on the bus, get home, have dinner, and still be able to cut before bedtime -- whoo-hoo!

My delivery said the 5th as well - but so did all the other scrapbooking items I've ordered today. I don't pay alot of attention to arrival dates as my items OFTEN arrive sooner. I ordered huggable hangers recently -- on Tuesday the confirmation said it would arrive in 7-10 days... it came yesterday - Wednesday -- one day later. Dancing

I just bought a Cricut and still getting adjusted to that machine.
Everyone enjoy the Gypsy but I am holding off. I received such a great deal on my Cricut; paying less than the Gypsy today so even though it's a great price and you receive so much more, I am passing.
But for those that purchase it, enjoy!!Surfing

Just thought I would send a msg out to everyone who may be looking for any sites with discounted cricut products. This site ://.ohmycrafts/ has a lot of cricut cartridges and other cricut products at low prices. they even have their version of the vinyl called oh my vinyl and they have it set up to where you can get 10 different colors of your choice for like $47. the vinyl comes two to a pack and is the 12 by 24 size and has way more colors then cricut to choose from. i have even gotten 4 cartridges at a time for $115.00 with free shipping and these weren't the solution cartridges. i recently ordered everyday paper dolls, wild card, and sweethearts with free shipping and an additional 20% off discount for a total of $112.00. now two of those cartridges are hard to find in the stores cause they are new and run about $89.00 i ended up paying less then $40 a cartridge. I am no way affiliated with this company or advertising for them. just wanted to let some fellow crafters know about this site so you can maybe get in on some really good deals on cartridges and other cricut accessories. they also even have deals where you can get 4 cartridges for $125.00. there is a list of specific ones to choose from but it is still a really good deal. unless you can catch the cartridges at michaels or ac moore when they are on sale for $39.00 sometimes. if you have the ad from michaels or ac moore with the cartridges being on sale and neither place has the cartridge you are looking for you can go to walmart and if they have the one you are looking for then they will match the ad for you. oh and jo ann fabrics as well. i hope this helps some of you looking for discounts on getting more cartridges other then getting them on ebay. cause you risk now getting cartridges people will be selling they have downloaded to their gypsy and you won't be able to load them to yours if you were able to get one. well happy crafting everyone and have a great day.

According to another MB, some were able to apply coupons to the Gypsy price and get the product for anywhere from $249 - $279 (depending on the coupons used) a day or two prior to the TS. Coupons were not allowed on Thursday so those who waited until 9/24 to purchase, had to pay more than those that pre-ordered. I just don't think that was fair. I expect the TS to be the lowest price that HSN charges. Even with free shipping offered for the TS on 9/24, the coupons used on pre-orders were a greater value. In this case, the early bird got the worm!

I couldn't use a coupon and they charged me tax. I've read a lot of messages saying that they ordered online and no tax. ??

I ordered about half an hour prior to the Today's Special, as Suzanne Runyon told the audience about the upcoming Gypsy Today's Special, flex pays, etc. I selected the free shipping and was not charged tax (ordered online). According to the UPS website, I should have my Gypsy by tomorrow! Excellent delivery service for free!!! I can't wait to get it into my hands and start playing with it!

Does anyone know how many units were sold at HSN?

Does anyone know when HSN will send the emails for the cricut rewards....200 to register the two carts included with the Gypsy and a bonus 500 for buying through HSN. I've contacted Cricut and they put it all on HSN...? I purchased on 9/23 and received on 9/25...registered it on 9/25 and now eagerly waiting for the emails to get my reward points and everyone's giving me the run around...arrgghhh!

Anyone have any idea?
