BASSETBABE and devia, you are so nice to me. One good thing about communicating this way is that we can reread things and get another blessing whenever we feel the need.
devia, glad you got at least part of your dental work done. I have an appointment on Monday. Part one of a two part proceedure. Either an onlay or (worst case) a root canal. I made this date before I knew about hubby, but I hope I can keep it because the decay is close to the nerve. :)

OUCH! I'm not sure what an "onlay" is but I've had 4 root canals........I've always been a real wuss when it came to the dentist but now that I've had all the root canals, I feel like I can stand almost anything.....except that goopy stuff they put in your mouth when they take impressions for a night guard!!!! I'LL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!

Never say never, Raeli. An onlay is similar to a crown. The tooth in question has a filling which will be removed along with the decay. Then, an impression (with goopy stuff) will be taken and a piece made to be "laid on" the tooth, instead of a total crown. It's a bit cheaper. Takes two appointments and they put on a temporary crown. I don't mind it. Can't believe you are a wuss about anything.

Oh, I had them give me one of those "knock-out" pills for one of my root canals.....I took it about 10 mins from the dentist's office and by the time we got there, I was off in la=la land. The strange thing about those pills is that you function like normal but your brain disconnects all memory. In fact, I was seemingly so great afterwards that my hubby took me by to visit some friends......I don't remember that either! I can see where that little pill's use could be used to your disadvantage!

Boy, that drug obviously helped you, but I guess you have to trust the people with whom you are working. Did you do or say anything embarrasing? (Oh, I hope so).Winking Cool

How many of you smileys ordered the "readers"?Think I'm thinking we could add sequins and they would be great for our tour in Vegas. Winking We have to keep practicing, especially because I see that Flo has volunteered to help Santa this year. It has something to do with stimulus money or one of those "bail outs". Did Santa get one? Think Can't remember what Raeli said about that. Well, keep up the good work, everyone, and have a very nice evening. Cool Dancing

Yes! Santa is on the list to receive stimulus funds.......Can you just imagine an unemployed Santa?? That could have catastrophic results! So, Santa will be sharing his wealth with Rudolph, his elves and of course, Flo.....if she gets the job! Cool

I hope not, Raeli. But, I'll send them back if I don't like them, even though I really get annoyed at how much they charge for return postage.
But, I agree with devia that if they are nice, we do need some bling on them. Big time bling!

Happy Saturday, smileys. Dancing Are all of you having a nice weekend? Winking
We have gorgeous weather today. I'm going to have to water, as we've had so much heat lately. Everything is dry.
Number one grandson and his wife will be by later this afternoon. Haven't seen them for a while.
Hubby hasn't gotten dressed yet today, but now he will have to.
I'm logging off so I can go and get some lunch. Have fun today. Dancing

hi devia, and anyone else out there. Winking
Our oldest grandson and his wife were here for a while late this afternoon. They are so busy, and live about a 45 minute drive away, so we dont see them much. Usually on the holidays and maybe birthdays. I thought hubby would get dressed because he knew they were coming, but he didn't. Think
Got his hair washed and his sponge bath, so he's nice and clean again. Applause
Hope you all have a lovely Sunday. Cool

Hi snappy, devia, raeli, Flo, and everyone excited about the Vegas trip. Yes, rhinestones on the reader glasses sounds excellent! I'm sorry that all of you seem to have some roadblocks these days as have I. Guess that is life, right? Lots of sad stuff going on at church also. Many, many, serious illnesses, three of them terminal, and we are a rather small congregation. I just haven't been on-line too much lately and I do miss it and still love chatting with you all. Right now one battle I have is with Social Security. Spent a couple of hours on Friday down there and they are going to call me this week. They sent me a letter telling me they have overpaid me by $2,239 over the time period from 2003 until now. They want it back and if I don't pay it, they will just stop sending my disability check until the amount is covered!! Can you all believe that? I'll try to do better in getting involved with you ladies and with what is going on. I only read this page...I've missed a lot so I'm sorta out of the loop right now. Please bear with me as you have so far. Hugs...

Going to bed now. Hope you all have a great upcoming week and I'll be checking in, I promise!
