OK, hit "add reply," and to your left you'll see a box titled, "Add Smiley." Just click on the one you want, where you want it. For example, let's say I want to add one here Cool -- I stopped typing after "here" and clicked on this one. It will look very strange in "code," but click "Preview" below, and you'll see that it came out OK. Then click "Post." Now, it's your turn to try it. Surfing

ilmycindy, good ones!!! LOL! Devia, your last post is fab! Can't see the codes in that one -- just the emoticons. Good work! Dancing But I have noticed those codes on some posts -- not just yours -- so I don't know the answer. Does anyone else know why sometimes the codes appear and sometimes not? Think

I love this thread. You are all such interesting and funny people. It helps that I'm easily amused! I notice that when I use quick reply, the smiley faces aren't an option. That's okay, picture one right HERE.

I don't see the head hitting the brick wall smiley. Is it reserved for members who have been here for a while?

Please don't hate me, but I find these icons very annoying and distracting. Also, I think they are a bit childish. I'm getting tired of smiley faces also. They have been around since about 1969 or so, therefore I think they have served whatever usefulness they may have had in the past. I love you all and I'm glad you are having fun with these smiley icons...I really mean that. It is just cranky ole' me and my opinion.

Also aren't you all getting tired of people telling you to have a nice day? What if I don't want to have a nice day? Perhaps I'm enjoying an awful day where I can be sullen and out of sorts! What pressure that puts on a person. Then of course you have to say it back to the person and I don't always feel like saying it back. We used to have a local TV reporter way back about 40 or 50 years ago who ended every broadcast with "Goodby, and Make it a good day" which I think has much more meaning than "Have a nice day". After all, it is up to us to MAKE it a good day, right? Not to just "Have" one.

Oh, gosh, now don't take all this personally and jump all over me, please. I'm just having my own fun. Like I said, I'm glad you all have fun with the smiley icons..they are just not for me. Oh, and before I forget: "Have a nice day"! Angel

Hi MOMSKA. Do you ever truly ENJOY an awful day? LOL! Just kidding you. Picture a happy face here - or not, but MAKE it a good day.
