well i too was taken in by the non-stick promise. My experience as a certified executive chef with the american culinary assn. really made me think this is a great thing because prior to this i never used non-stick because of the teflon peeling off in the food. I am sorry but these will not be in my kitchen, they are NOT non-stick, they will NEVER be not stick. Don't believe customer service, if your pans stick it is NOT your fault, they are not what they say they are.

Although I agree totally that the green pans simply separate the greenbacks from the people who choose to purchase them, I am unaware of what the American Culinary Association is as I never heard of it. The other network had frypan by a noted chef that is superb in its cooking characteristics including caramelization and searing and can because it is stainless steel based, I use on my induction range and is my pan of choice right now.

Todd English: Shame on you for putting your name on these crappy pans. They ARE NOT NON STICK...and yes, I've seasoned them properly and have an extensive background in the kitchen. I'm grateful that I kept my 20 year old, cheap, non stick pans as they perform MUCH better. I thought I purchased pans to last our family for the next 15 years, I'm about to give them away instead. $350+ down the tubes. DON'T BUY!

I read an article recently where these so called green pans were tested by a very respectable source and they were not given a good review at all. They said not to waste your money and if you want green pans get some cast iron,

I purchased the Round Grill Pan for my dearest friends last Christmas. I also have several of the Green Pans and have never had a problem. I've had them over 2 years and they still impress me. But the grill pan was a big disappointment. My friends finally approached me and asked for the billing information. The pan had started to crack and loose its coating (which was supposed to be good for up to 850 degrees??? I searched for the information and looked for a warranty. It was my understanding the pans were good for the lifetime of the pan. (Of course, if used appropriately.) My friends returned the pan, and I got a call today saying they were returning the pan to me, and it went past the 30 day return policy. WHAT THE HECK WERE THEY TALKING ABOUT!!! I have several sets of those pans witch I love, but after this shabby treatment, I will never shop with HSN again, since they don't stand behind the products they absolutely love and practically foam at the mouth over how wonderful they are! Shame on you Todd English for allowing your product to be treated so shameful, and YOU, Yourself, would have more respect if YOU stood behind your product. Thanks for nothing!

Maybe this is a user problem...
I have a couple of frypans, a griddle pan, a stock pot and saucepan and I love them. Removing cheese and burnt honey and bbq sauce is a breeze. I do follow the instructions and re-season every few months. They have replaced my flaking teflon pans. And with three kids it's nice to have pans that clean easy even if I don't get toi them right away. Several family members also have Greenpans and the one that has problems has never seasoned hers.
And who cares if Joy is annoying or if Todd can't talk??? Are you pretending they are your friends or are you buying cookware? Hit mute and get over it.

Buyers want to hear about the product before buying it. Unless a person can read lips, they can't know about what is being sold. Get it? Joy is the most annoying and obnoxious vendor on all the tv shopping shows.

Found some green pans (not the crappy ones the obnoxious Joy sells) in Marshall's a few weeks ago. They are PTFE and PFOA free. Great prices - grill pan $13, 8 inch frypan $8, 9 1/2 fry pan $9, and 12 inch frypan $10. They are great and nothing sticks. So for $40 plus tax you get 4 pans. If you buy the same 4 pans from Joy, it costs $190 plus tax and shipping. The only thing that's different is that you can't cook at the high temperature that Joy claims the green pans can. But who needs to cook anything at 850 degrees?

I caught the green pan show last night with Chef Todd. Man, either he was really ticked off about something or he's a just a jerk. I couldn't tell, but he didn't look happy in between Colleen and that other lady.

I caught about a minute of it before I quickly CHANGED the channel. I just can't tolerate Joy's voice talking over and interupting everyone. Sorry, HSN, NO green pans for me as long as Joy does the presentation.

I've tried the pans twice. Thought maybe the first set was bad. Same problem. Luckily I bought the second one at Target for a lot less. I was just watching them swirl the eggs. I tried frying eggs and they stick to the pan. I have not had anything not stick. I've had to scrape things off and now I have scratches. Are there any pans someone could recommend? I'd love to find a good nonstick pan. I had thought about trying the stainless steal but thought it may stick as well. I've looked at Pampered Chef but they're pricey. I'm willing to pay if they're good! Thanks!

I love my Green pans. I will admit that the very first set I bought wasn't as good as the hard anodized..they are wonderful. Try the 1.5 qt. saucepan...you'll love it.

The saucepan is not a good way to begin judging the green stuff. The skillets and grill pans are where the problems are not the large soup/sauce pans as they rarely ever experience the heat the other two do. Virtually all the green pan stuff will work great for the first several times and then upon repeated use it gets worse. I will say that I never had an egg sliding around the pan with the exception of one skillet and that did not last long as it too started to stick no matter how "seasoned" it was. What is worse is that the pan stains so badly that you can really build up your aerobic points trying to remove the stains (or perhaps that is a good thing as we all need to exercise).

I am new to this posting thing. I just can't stand being ripped off any more. SHAME SHAME on HSN. A lot of people like myself work hard for the little bit of money and to have a few nice things for the home. They can't go out and replace the junk. I got a couple hundred dollars in GREEN PANS and I have to use them for a while. I never put in dishwasher I always hand wash. I have to add water and cook on stove to clean up. I also take a little baking soda to get out stains from cooking a 97/3 Hamburger with olive oil spray. And (I didn't burn it) I said what do I have to lose. I can't cook on this mess. I reseasoned again. but it happens again. The sad thing for 40 yrs I buy a set for maybe $60.00 and get more life out of them and toss after years. I keep giving HSN a chance thinking they make sure WHAT they sell is of top notch (quality) I just got 3 sets of hangers 79.99 a set and 2 of the Tie/belt hanger was broke. 1500.00 PC is on it's 3rd time to be fix. good thing I bought extra warr. It takes a couple of months to get it fix. The new printer I bought after the one that came with the GATEWAY died early My warr was with HSN I did not know that. I didn't ask my fault!. I thought it would be with GATEWAY. I would toss this 90.00 Printer in the trash. but it will print if I keep turn off/on when it stops at 98%. The shock it cleaner s too. Works as good as the DOLLAR store junk for a Dollar You don't get mad at that price when it just cleans a little. I think I am going back to store shopping at least I will take it back and I don't have to go thru another STATE to find someone not a co. (a person) to do warr. in my state. Sorry I rattled but I am afraid I won't go to the other sites. To be fare (Phone People) Great, Del. Great, The sales people act like used car salesman. Great at selling some junk. SHAME on them.

Hi jjstarbuck, welcome to the forums. There are some really nice people here. We try to help each other. I'm sorry you have had so many problems with HSN. I've been with them for 23 years, and had good service. BUT, the green pans are, well....terrible. I know some people like them, and good for them, but not for me. The sauce pot is fine, it's the frying pans that get a build up of food. It's not our fault, no matter what they may try to tell us. Another poster suggested I try Scotch Brite stove cleaner, and, with some elbow grease, it does take off most of the food. It has enabled me to keep the 2 pans I have. Hope this helps someone.

I had bought the broiler green pan. First couple of times it worked great, then I couldn't remove the stains at all. I thought I had done something wrong. Now after reading all the other posts, I can see it was the pan. Unfortunately, my husband ordered me the $99 set last night. I tried to cancel the order since my online account says it will not ship for 48 hours, but was told it's already in the warehouse and I'll just have to pay the shipping to send it back! what a

I have mixed feelings about the green pans. I'm certainly not as displeased as some of you are but I'm not completely happy with the pans either. I've had my first set for a little over a year now. They are still in good shape with the exception of one skillet. That skillet is a mess, stained, scratched, pitted, etc. and basically I learned something from that one skillet........THESE PANS DO NO TAKE HIGH HEAT!!! So, with all my other pieces I've been careful about using high heat and they seem to be holding up better. Does food stick? Sure, but nothing like most cookware that I've had. Clean up is still relatively easy and little to no scrubbing. The larger stock pot made canning homemade peach jam a breeze this year. I think the Thermalon coating does need some work though. Its certainly not perfect. I'll keep using them but I won't be buying any more unless they can fix some of the problems with the non-stick coating.

I do not have any mixed feelings except confusion with people saying they do not take high heat when all that is stressed in the HSN marketing of them is that they can take high heat.. remember the constant digital thermometer shots ?
