April,Hope you have a good Halloween and weekend too.
We have rain today and just as I expected,of course,for tomorrow.Hope the kiddies that do go house to house tomorrow night can get a dry few hours for their fun.

My mind is whirling thinking about all the planned activities for this evening. We leave in about one hour for the school. There's no reason why the kids shouldn't have fun......no charge for the activities and candy and prizes for EVERYONE!! The only concern is tonight's weather forecast. We are expecting a storm to blow through the area with high winds and rain. Some of these children walk to school so I hope it doesn't effect their decision to attend. Enjoy your evening everyone!

Hi all.
BASSETBABE, hubby's blood work was done this morning. Now we wait to hear a date for the biopsy. I dread that for him. A needle into the bone makes me cringe. Don't know whether or not he thinks about that, so mum's the word. It sounds like you are recovering from your fall, and I'm glad.
Raeli, you are doing a really good thing for the children in your area. The ripple effects will go out into the community with lasting results. The kids must be wild with excitement. Hope the weather cooperates.
Too bad Flo isn't there to help, but she probably did a lot of the setup before leaving for the North Pole.

bass thank-you for asking about our "rascal",HE IS FINE NOW! do you know what i think happened??? well leave it to me, as i never give it a thought, but i had bought some chocolate cookies, and i put them on a end-table as i also had a glass of milk,and low and behold i think rascal got into one of those cookies...as he was spitting up black-like the cookies...so now the cookies are gone-and from now on i will be more careful for sure,....usually rascal never bothers anything, but it just came to me i think that is what happened, as he is one fast little-guy...and it's amazing how he can stand on his back-feet and reach, something he wants....kinda like a kid-that reaches a mile...[snappy prayers for you and your hubby----keep your-chin-up!!!]

snappy, I hope your hubby's bloodwork is OK and I am sending positive thoughts his way as well as yours for his upcoming biopsy.
Bassett, I'm feeling okay today,so hubby and I went out to a couple of stores and stopped at Walmart then off to have dinner and we just got home a little while ago. I hope you are feeling better than you have been and for you also, I'm sending positive thoughts your way.
The sun finally came out today and it was gorgeous. Hubby had a chance to get into his barn and get some stuff put in place and I just goofed around and dusted and changed bedding. I've got this gorgeous comforter set with shams and dust ruffle but I need him to lift or tilt the mattress so I can get the dust ruffle on. This set is sort of a silky patchwork design in shades of purple, greens, gold...all the colors blend so well I can't wait to get it on. My next project is to decide what I'm going to do with all these windows for covering. I'm thinking of those nice scalloped valances with the trim at the bottom. I don't think I want to cover the entire windows because there is no one nearby and we built in a heavily wooded area so no one can see in.

DFTX, so good to hear from you. Your new bedding sounds absolutely gorgeous. It's so hard to wait when you have something new, but today's mattresses are so heavy, that it's a two person job for sure. Your place sounds wonderful.

Snappy, I hope the biopsy is as painless as possible. I really do. Hopefully they can numb it up very well, I am sure they sure try. I get frequent injections in large joints (hips and knees) and I have seen the needles, like 14 gauge. That's pretty big. But they numb me up and all I feel is some pressure. Maybe the DR could speak with you before hand an explain it carefully so you know what to expect for him. I always feel better when I know everything up front, no surprises.
I really hope you have good answers soon so you know what you're dealing with. (((HUGS)))

We survived!!!! No medical attention required!!!!! The kids were great and we had so much fun......we are signing up
for the CHRISTMAS party!!!! Yes, CHRISTMAS!!! It's sponsored by the PTA so we can bring CHRISTMAS into
the school!!!!! It's going to be a craft oriented party so the children will be making gifts for their
families.........someone wake me when this is over........I must be hallucinating.....
