Think Shame on you

I love the Huggable Hangers for the space saving but...the hooks fall off for no reason. I've had about 12 now do just that. HSN replaced them once. Now, they state only Joy Magnano's Ingenius Designs will replace them when MORE hooks fell off! This was over 2 weeks ago that I spoke with HSN customer service AND POST MAILED JOY MAGNANO'S company and so far, NO RESPONSE. ERRR.

Anyone have similar problems or advice?

Thanks,
J P.S. I'm only a size 2, live in a warm climate and my clothes are LIGHTWEIGHT!

May sound silly but if they are a cloth like material, don't they get dusty and how would you keep them clean?

I just bought a bunch, quite a bit actually, but I've been meaning to try them for years but could never justify spending so much on hangers. But my closet has been needing organization badly-I have one coat closet+a dresser that filled to the brim for all of my things! Oh well, I can send them back if I don't like them. Winking

WinterWren, I think you are really going to like them, and they do save space, and your closet will look so much better. I like mine a lot, and none has broken so far. Catherine, because the clothes you hang up are clean and the hanger is covered by your clothes, they do not get dusty or dirty from what I can tell. I bought the Wedgewood Blue maybe three years ago, and they still look good. I'll have to check out Costco, though, because that's a deal!

I love the hangers too, got camel for my husbands closet and I have the pink -- Ive gone back for three or four more sets - yes you can get at Target and Bed and Bath, but the colors are limited pretty much to black, tan and maybe navy. If Im going to redo a closet I would like it to match, or at least coordinate. I dont want a bunch of hangers all different colors - or its the same as having wire, plastic, wood etc. etc. Ive never had any break or the hooks fall off, and its HOT here in Texas... They are great, I try and order online so I dont have to listen to Joy and Shannon - that is a sure deal breaker for me.

Over the years I have bought hundreds of the hangers. Did my closet first in burgandy (the colors were more limited in the beginning), then camel in my husbands. My daughter has sage and a peachy color in her closet. Last year I did the entry closet in a sort of persimmon. I've had 3 break over the years, and never had a broken hook. They are really one of my all time favorite HSN purchases. I see them sold elsewhere, but in limited color choices. Still, if they have the color you want,it might be a great deal.

Okay, so I went to Costco today and searched for the pack of Huggable Hangers that other's said they sold there in a pack of 50 for $15. I thought they were name brand but they're not. Still, they seemed to be sturdy quality but I was a little disappointed that they were only in black and were the 'suit' hangers. There is no guarantee they won't bleed. I ordered JM's hangers yesterday and have yet to inspect them (I ordered multiple sets in the pink ribbon color). I might go back to Costco and get those suit hangers later on for pants but I need to bring someone who has a costco membership card (I don't have one Anxious ) That's a bit of a downside for me. Btw, I checked out Target last weekend and was ready to buy the JM hangers there but they came in packs of three or four and were on clearance (already?!) for $3.99. Not the way to go when you want to fill your closet but maybe if your after a few extras it's worth it.

I got my HSN Huggable Hangers and guess what? I'm keeping them!! Dancing I have to order more though, but I have saved so much space. I wish they sold the closet boxes separately. I can use them for storing sweaters and dresses. I'm going to go with a friend to Costco asap to buy the generic black suit hangers for the coat closet. It's a mess.

Ladies,

I realize that this thread is a little old but wanted to add to it anyway. I don't like most of Joy's products, however, I'm "hooked" on HUGGABLE HANGERS!!! I think this is one of the best inventions ever!

I am amazed at how much space I have saved using these hangers. Now that my armoire is full, there is no way I could put the same amount of clothes back in using other hangers. I have 2 young children & when they were toddlers, I bought the "toddler" size hangers and loved them. They were perfect for those little pieces of clothing! All of our coats, lightweight & heavy, are on huggable hangers as well.

I am so sorry to hear that some of you have had problems with them falling apart. I hope that doesn't happen to mine. I've had mine for a number of years now and I HAVE HAD NOT ONE PROBLEM with them. Maybe I should consider myself lucky! I would definitely recommend them!

Hugs & Blessings! ~Carrie Cool

i love mine, but resent when they display a closet, they push all to one side so we can see all the space we save..only we dont really squeeze them close together that way. wish joy would stop inventing, the bedspread and tri-mirror are not something we all need.

I love mine too. Though I do have to squish them together just as they show them on the HSN presentations. I have no choice given my closet is the size of, and is actually, a coat closet. Winking

I really love these hangers, and have probably ordered over 1,000 over the years. I've only had a couple hooks come off, but I have had problems with the hangers sticking together when they were obviously boxed before the flocking had a chance to dry. Otherwise, I am very happy with the product.

Attention! 11 hours of Joy of all Joys and the "Joy of watching and HEARING Joy's State Fair type sales pitch" on Sunday 7-26.... buy more and solve your problem of broken OLD "hugable hangers", just replace the broken ones with new!!! Per the new forum guidelines this post may never be seen because it might be viewed as FREE SPEECH. I am truly amazed at HSN programming sometimes.... I loved this past week with Diane Gilman, Jay King, Chaco Canyon and other delightful programs to totally drop the ball and have a Joy Mongano infommercial the entire day Sunday.

ABOUT THE COSTCO HANGERS:

I went back for my second pack of 50 Hangers for $14.99 at Costco, yesterday. They are identical to the JM suit hangers (made in the same Chiness factory?), only the Costco hangers do not have the JM Logo stamped on them. They are Black with Chrome hooks, and are in the sturdy suit hanger style. Actually, I like the suit hangers best anyway because they are stronger, and can be used to hang skirts & pants as well as clothes.

I have ordered several hundred JM Huggable Hangers over the past 5 years and have just about all of my closets organized now. On sale, JM Huggable Hangers can be purchased in bundles at HSN for an average of $1.00 to $1.25 per hanger, with no S&H. At Costco, the Black suit hangers are available for $14.99 per a box of 50, or approximatley .33 cents per hanger. A very good deal if you can use Black. I have hung wet clothes to dry on my Costco hangers and like the JM brand, there is no transfer of color, etc. Little boxes of JM brand plastic clips for Skirts and the drop-down hooks, can be found at Target.

Happy Hunting.

Ok so I need more hangers like a hole in the head, as they say! What I really need is to weed out my clothes! But that is a whole other topic, or 'intervention'! But I can't resist a bargain. The new HH set that they will have for the TS starting tonight is a good deal. You get 250 hangers for $150. And I knew that if I ordered it before it is actually listed as a TS, I could apply a coupon. I had a 20% coupon that I won on the birthday game. So I applied it to my order, and it came to just under $120. So that is less than 50 cents a hanger! Plus you get the clips and hooks. I know you can get them a little cheaper elsewhere but the colors are limited. I had ordered the lilac before, and was going to get that color again, but at the last minute decided to go with the bold choice of HOT PINK! Go Bold, or Go HOME!!! So if anyone has a coupon, and is thinking of ordering some..... do it before it is a TS, or you won't be able to apply the coupon!

Everyone has the will to win but only a few have the will to prepare

I don't care how wonderful these hangers are, I can't believe this past weekend HSN spent hours showcasing just these hangers ("National Huggable Hangers Day Celebration")booorring.
