Well my husband did it again this year. He calls me this morning and tells me he can`t find a brown leather jacket that a little bird (my dil) told him I wanted. I didn`t tell anyone I wanted a brown leather jacket. I told my dil a while ago that when I lost weight I wanted a brown suede bomber jacket to wear with a white button shirt and blue jeans. I love this look but not on me at the weight I am now. I told him not to get me anything but that didn`t work. Now he wants to drive 300 miles to a Bass Pro Store to get me a jacket, on christmas eve of all things. Its not going to happen. I finished my shopping on monday and that was bad enough. It took me 45 minutes to just get out of the parking lot, there`s no way I`m going shopping tonight. I have a nervous breakdown waiting in the wings. I will be glad when the holidays are over.

Yes, the holidays can be pretty stressful! I actually put dirty clothes in the dryer last night because my mind was somewhere else and I was worried about all the things I still had to do. I'm trying to relax a little today. Hope you feel better and have a Merry Christmas tomorrow!

Lovely thought that the man is so dedicated to getting you the "perfect" Christmas present, Mikeswife. But I so hear you on the stress and last minute shopping! Good luck! Hope things settle down and you can enjoy some peace and quiet.

It's a slow day at the office today. That's a breath of fresh air. I'm just glad I'm not out in the traffic. Is traffic bad where you are on Christmas Eve? The traffic jams are unbelievable here! Mix in the snow and ice and it's a receipt for ditch divers and culvert inspectors!

I say let him go. A man needs a better than good excuse to make a 600 mile round trip to a Bass Pro Shop.

Trust - but verify!

ASPCA, that is too funny! That is something I would do for sure! I can all well relate to the stress!

MIKESWIFE, sounds like you have a sweetheart of a guy! My hubby lets me pick out my present or else gives me money so I like the idea of the money thing that truebluesue said.

Merry Christmas!

That would be just like my hubby to buy my Christmas present at Bass Pro Shop!LOL

I probably would be getting a fish finder or some sinkers...Maybe a new motor!

Then again I'm getting him a gold necklace and a pair of high heeled boots so we are even Steven.

BTW Papa when I do my spell check it wants to change your name to pepito...Would you like a margarita??Cool

I'm hoping the boots are for you, my dear.. hate to think of deer hanging in the hood and your hubby crossdressing.

I like Papas new NickName... Pepito. Send me the margarita, the wifes out driving in this stuff again today, after wrecking my car yesterday. WHAT IS IT WITH WOMEN AND SHOPPING??!!!! It's so much easier to do online. Yeah, you have to wait a few days.

my! i do agree about all the traffic,an the stress-i just went to wal-mart this morning to get cranberries..{fresh}...the parking lot was full,i might as well walked there from home...the other stores were completely sold out..the lady check-out at wal-mart told me that i better not want bananas as they were completely sold-out...but i'm so thankful that i got my cranberries...then hubby after work wanted to-go to wal-mart to get windshield wipers,i told him what i had to deal-with earlier-but he had to find out for himself..needless to say we ended up at auto-zone,as there was no-place to park at wal-mart...these husbands are so-wonderful..an we are so-very lucky...my hubby an i go with each other to-pick out our gifts,,but we really don't need anything at this stage...

Dude...Don't lump all us women together. I hate to shop in a store. If the Big Brown Truck can not deliver it? I don't need it. He even delivers my Dog food. Anxious
