Does anyone have advice on a product to prevent pregnancy stretch marks from occurring? I have a friend six weeks pregnant that I am asking for. Since I have not been pregnant.....I had no advice to give her. Need to find something with proven results. Thank you in advance for your help.

I've heard that Argan Oil and Tamanu Oil help. You can search these online.

I'm not sure anything prevents them, you either get them or you don't. My DR told me this and I have read it a million times. Lots of people get them who are not pregnant, either with growth spurts as a teen or weight gain, and some people never do. I never had any until the last 4-6 weeks of my first pregnancy. You could go broke buying all kinds of lotions and creams, but I know people who used them faithfully and got marks anyway and people who never used anything and got no marks.

A friend of mine is due in two weeks and has no stretch marks. She thinks it's because of the Burt's Bees Mommy Butter that she started using as soon as she knew she was pregant.

Thanks for your suggestions. I know much of it is hereditary but thought I would see if anyone knew of a "miracle" cream. : )

I have heard that taking vitamin e helps. My teenage son is getting them and I have begun adding vitamin e to his morning supplements.
