Please pray for the families of those k-i-l-l-e-d and injured at Fort Hood. I pray that the families will be blessed with strength, courage, and comfort as they go through this very difficult time. I also pray that those who were injured will be blessed with a speedy recovery.

Yesterday, one of my co-workers got a call from a friend asking if he had heard about the slayings at Fort Hood. My co-worker's son is stationed there. We immediately went to find a TV, and they were just breaking in the news. He tried calling his wife and son, but there was no answer. He was pretty confident that his son wasn't anywhere near the slayings, but not knowing for sure was still causing him (and us) anxiety.

It's a solemn day in Texas.

I will definitely pray for them especially for one that is about 10 miles from me in a small town right next to my town. I have been to the town many times. I don't know all the details yet but I caught part of it. He is married with a 5 year old son and a 14 month old baby. His mom is going to be on the news tonight.

AQUAFINA I hope your co-workers son is okay and will pray for him.

This is so sad.

Certainly we are praying for the loved ones of those who lost their lives, and for complete recovery for the wounded. The ripples always go out to affect so many people. It's a tragic thing, and terribly sad.

Sadly this world is full of mentally unstable people who will do these acts anywhere and everywhere...schools, workplaces, and even to their own families.

My heartfelt thoughts are for the victims and families and also for the family of the accused.

I think if it makes a difference to the soldier, it should matter to the military.

I joined this board to converse, not to argue. Any further posts would seem to be counterproductive so I'll wish you a good evening and go on about my business.

I am happy to hear this. Real happy.
The soldier that was involved in this that lives right next to my town is not so good. I heard on our local news the other night his mama talking about him. They said he was shot several times and is only 30. He lost most of his colon and bladder. They were working on his intestines. He was in ICU.
