Hi everyone. I'm not even sure I'm in the correct category for this question. Anyway, I received these, the fitness sneakers - I ordered 2 sizes as I'm most always 6.5 or 7. The 6.5 is really small. The 7 might fit - but here's my question - The back of the shoe on this is high or feels high and rubs against my heel and the back of my lower ankle. Is that a sign that the shoe is too small? Or is that a sign that it's just a bad style for me?

ilovesummer....I got mine today. I wear an 8 1/2, ordered 9 1/2. It fits just right. (I went to a fit clinic at my local running shoe store and they recommended to always wear 1 whole size up when getting running/walking shoes)I have worn the shoes around my house today and I do like them. I haven't worn them on my morning walk yet. I think it is going to take awhile to get use to them as they do feel different. I wear FitFlops and I do love them, and they feel different too. When wearing my FitFlops at first......I had lower back pain, and my legs did hurt after wearing them. But after wearing them on a regular basis my lower back and legs didn't hurt anymore.(I wear my FitFlops like house slippers.) I will post back after wearing them on my regular morning walks. I am a regular walker. Hope this helps.......
(I wanted to add this: The price of Tony's shoes are amazing. The Reebok "EasyTone Inspire" are $99.95 at Nordstrom)

ilovesummer....Wore my shoes this morning on my morning walk......yikes!!! Made my baby toes hurt really bad. I walked for 1 hour too. When I took the fit clinic class, they said you shouldn't have to break in a walking shoe....so to this I say, the shoes are going back. Sorry Tony!!!!!

Hi Wilddietta, Thanks so much for the replies. I actually checked in last night and saw your first note and decided to go ahead and do an exchange while they still had stock in that size. So, I'll be trying 1/2 size larger and will see how that goes. But .... oops! Maybe I should have waited! Interestingly though it's not the heel/ankle area that was a problem for you. So who knows, maybe the larger size I've ordered will prove perfect for me. I hope so. It would be great to find something at half the price of the reeboks or the sketchers.

I'm liking my Tony Little sneakers. I debated about size and finally ordered my normal size 8 and they fit. I have a very narrow foot and was afraid that if these were cut wide, I'd be sliding around in them if I went larger. I'm sure I could have used an 8.5 but I think foot width definitely plays a role here. I have plenty of toe room but could use a narrower heel cup. The shoes are comfortable and I like the calf extension feature; I find that if I adjust the way I walk just a bit (heel consciously down first) they feel even better. I wore them on the treadmill for the first time yesterday and they felt great. My only complaint would be that the heel cup didn't need to be so high cut. If he'd only left out those two little side rises on the heel, I'd be even happier with the shoe. Definitely a good price for what Tony's put into the design.

I have FitFlops and love them, super comfortable. Since I won;t buy shoes without trying them on I will head to Easy Spirit and try their version and also try the Sketchers version.

Why doesn't Tony make his fitness sandal in a size 11 or 12? (womens)
