Hey--great product. Down in 30's last night andgetting cold but thanks to my Amish Fireplace in my house I have not turned on my heat yet. And I do wheel it around. Thinking of getting another one. Beautiful too.

ya i buy off of qvc and hsn and--------- shop nbc now that suzanne somers is there.
i recently bought a susan graver faux leather jacket for my niece for her birthday off of qvc and a slanket which is like the snuggy but more improved material. i thought she would like those for her birthday. i like modern soul off of qvc. i bought pants and jacket from modern soul and did not wear it for a long time then wore it the other day and wow it was beautifully comfortable and great looking outfit. guess more modern soul for me. i bought my tv's off hsn. i rarely shop in the stores anymore as great styles on tv and they explain so much. even bought my computer off hsn. but i do love the amish fireplace as i am in michigan and haven't had to turn my heat on yet because of the lovely cozy amish fireplace.

I did order Joy's fireplace in black - I am can't wait to get it. I am not sure how the "gel flames" work vs. an electric, as far as warmth and cost efficiency. Now that I think about it.... one gel can lasts about 2 - 3 hours, whereas, if I plug it up, I wouldn't have to worry about the "flame" going out over night.

Any sugguestions? Comments?

I looked at reviews online regarding the Amish fireplace and they were horrible. The "fireplace" itself is China made. The only thing crafted by the Amish is the wood frame. I was going to buy one off HSN a cpl of weeks ago until I investigated some reviews that were posted on the net.

The Amish don't use these fireplaces so the marketing is dubious at best. Apparently, they make the wood surround and that is it. To call it an Amish Fireplace is very misleading.

Google Amish fireplaces and you'll read that they certainly are not all that great.

I prefer fireplace that is carved out of solid marble blocks in a broad range of both contemporary and classic marble colors and designs

Ummm don't most Amish people shun the use of electricity? Why would they make an electric fireplace. Think
