I posted this in Electronics also, but you're all so knowledgable about almost everything, I wanted to post my plea here, too.
My main TV, I think, is about to give up. It doesn't need to be huge. I think under 42 inches would be great. I don't mind ordering via the internet, but I get confused by the reviews, like on Amazon. Some love one, others hate it. I just want sharp, clear, pretty colors and one that will take me through the next ten years or so. Help?

Are you looking for a flat screen or the bigger kind. Since they came out with the flat ones the older style big ones are dirt cheap. You can get a fairly large one at Walmart for only a couple hundred dollars.

Two years ago we bought a 40" Sony Bravia. We love it, and have had no problems at all. It cost more then, but it has been a source of lots of entertainment for us since we are mostly housebound. There are lots of choices.
