i also like comedy, but it's hard to find good clean comedy...i don't like the nudeity- or the hopping from one bed to another!!! on t.v., or the skimpy clothing,or no-clothing at all...there's a time and place for everything and it's not on t.v. just my opinion.. edited my me! [as this was a comment, about the post rae-gave, as i was agreeing with her!] thank-you...

Devia, now you was on the thread a year ago and I'm sure you remember what kind of things were said and I don't remember you saying anything like this then, now here you did say on t.v. so does that mean that on A shopping BB it is OK. I think a shopping BB is no place for this kind of stuff either wouldn't you say! If you don't want to watch it why would you want to read it! JMO

snappygrandma wrote:BASSETBABE, I'm glad you enjoyed the Monk episode. I'll miss it when the season is over. I hate the in your face immorality and the language that is ear pollution. The worst programs for that, to me, are the comedies. So, we don't watch any of them. Too bad, everyone could use a good clean laugh these days. Hey, that's why we have each other here, and, of course Flo. LOL Snappy,I think the dog episode and the one about the Nigerian man showed how Monk is opening himself up to care about others.I will miss him too.
I wish some of the superstations would show the old "Real McCoy's."..I have not seen it in reruns in several yrs.
I enjoy old Andy Griffith's,even though I have seen them over and over.
Do any of you remember other old comedies you wish they would show again?

Do any of you ever watch Flipping Out on Bravo? Jeff Lewis, Jenny, Zoa (all sp). The self-proclaimed obsessive compulsive house flipper/interior decorator? I'm back and forth on whether I like him or not. He can be really obnoxious and mean, but the last show I watched, he cried. In my book, a man who can cry on national tv can't be all bad. But he is a rascal.

Hi susie! Been missing you. Hope you are staying well. I'm stuffed. We had Mexican food from our favorite place tonight. Hubby only had a couple bites, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Our daughter brought us a chocolate eclair for dessert. Yummers!

Just finished re-reading " The Thief of Always" ( a fable) by Clive Barker. It's a great story. I enjoyed it just as much the sceond time as I do 10 years ago, well worth the read.
I am going to see if my 14 year old granddaughter will like it...

Hey devia, I purchased a DVD collection of old compilations of Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis, Bob Hope, and others. I've been wanting to get the collection of Carol Burnett's TV show on DVD. I've seen them on the infomercial, and you can't forget about Lucille Ball. Ahhhh, those were the days.
