I saw an article online today that the cast iron cookware that Paula Deen sells on the Q has been recalled. Not sure if anyone here bought some. Apparently they break apart while cooking.....hmmm made in China. Don't know why anyone would buy this celebrity stuff when you can go down to your local hardware store and buy the good ole last forever cast iron very inexpensively.

They break apart? Hmm, now that's nice to know. LOL

I never used cast iron but I did buy Emeril's non-stick cookware and am thrilled with it. Food just slides out of the pans. Just a quick wipe with the sponge and voila. I would have thought that Paula's stuff would be quality.Think Think

I also saw some cast iron cookware of Paula's at Wal-Mart.

You should probably get your facts before posting about the recall. I was a customer of this recall and it wasn't on all of Paula Deen's cookware/cast iron. It was 3 different items and only those items. QVC handled the recall well and I've already received my refund. Just because something is made in China doesn't automatically mean it is junk. If that were the case, you wouldn't be buying/purchasing anything period.

I'm thankful I own my mom's cast iron pans from the 1960's. I try and avoid anything made in China as it is junk, however, sometimes I have no choice but to buy something made there.
