Has anyone bought any of the Deni foodsaver type machines?..I see them on HSN..
I'm curious to know if they also use the same bags as foodasver/seal a meal machines...I hesitate, not really knowing the brand...and the strength of the bags...and the $15.95 shipping charge! Then the return charge if its not what I want..
All help is appreciated..

Hi 4Kitties! I had a Demi brand several years ago, & it was terrible. I threw it in my garage sale for $2.00. I even told the lady that bought it that it didn't work very well. :)

I prefer the Foodsaver, myself. Have had it for years, & it works great.
Hope you find what you need!

My Demi brand sealer was also terrible. I have the full size Foodsaver and it is great for when I do bulk shopping. I also have a small handheld Reynolds brand you can buy in any grocery store that was $10. Works well for things you use everyday like lunch meat, cheese or partially used vegetables like onions. Can buy the bags at the store also and can be washed for reusing.

Just bought a new seal a meal..at the "W"...$52...Since they seem to last me only a couple of years..I didn't want to spend $149 for a foodsaver..in BB&B even with a coupon..Then I don't feel so bad tossing it!
Unfortunatly..I've had to start cutting cornersBrick wall

Glad to see you found a replacement, 4kitties. I think $149 is pretty high for a Foodsaver, too. I've seen them at much lower prices. Mine is pretty basic I think, compared to some of the newer choices of models they have now.

It's kind of miserable to do without a favorite gadget when you're used to having it. Enjoy your new Seal A Meal. Angel

The hand held reynolds works just as well as the expensive ones. They cost around 10 dollars. So save your $$$$
