I was wondering where everyone buy their pets medicine? vet or online? Do you buy your flea meds from your vet. I have to buy something to rid my cat of fleas. I tried a flea collar earlier this summer and it almost suffocated her, she could barely breath. I called the Vet and they sell Frontline. What do most use and where do you buy it? thanks

I use Petshed...google it. Very reasonable. The company is from Australia, but it is the same stuff they have here. The shipping is fast, and often less expensive than shipping withing the US. They even give you the expiration dates on their stuff, so it is always fresh.

If it's people-type medicines that can be purchased at a drugstore, I have my vet write a prescription and I get it at Walgreens under their W Card program. The annual fee is $35/year but all your family members and pets can be listed on the one account. My cat Bruiser was on an anti-fungal med, and two weeks' worth of the drug if purchased without the W Card was over $200, with the W Card, it was $21. My cat is on methimazole, without the W card it was $17 a month, with the W Card I get a years' worth for $9.

I get my cat's medication right from the vet. I have done some comparison shopping, and they are competitive, plus I don't have to pay for any additional shipping and handling.

I buy the Heartguard from my vet and the Frontline Plus online. My huskey has allergies, and I get dye-free Benadryl from any drugstore.

What do most use and where do you buy it? thanks I have bought Heartgard online at two very respectable sites, but they need an RX and your vet may get in a wrinkle in his pants and tell you he dosn't like the idea, but if your darling(s) have been tested, he HAS to write the scipt They have generic heartgard, but your vet won't carry it, but you can find it at the site. I buy my vey same frontline, name, box and all at our local MFA store, about 1/4th less. But, I am on SS and have TWO to take care of so I save where I can..and I have had vets tell me the names of the websites, so some understand the value of a dollar...Mine now doesn't.. BTW...BE SURE not to mix up products for dogs and cats..One flea and tick can be poison to the other..The warning is on the box..NOT FOR CATS..Make sure you pick up the right box.
If you are a "if at first you don't suceed, try, try again" person; don't go skydiving!!
