I actually purchased these glasses, and only opened one and the black case to see what they were like. I'd planned on giving half of them to a friend as a gift. After reading the posts here, I guess I'd better take every one of them out of the package and look them over carefully before I giftwrap them. Hopefully, I won't have to send them back. The one pair I examined seemed perfectly fine, and the quality wasn't bad at all for the price. They were made in China instead of the USA, which I wasn't too crazy about, but that did keep the cost down, I guess.

Treelvr- I hate that they weren't made in the USA too and if they had been, I would have been more than happy to pay more for them, or anything else made in the USA for that matter. BUT unfortunately, made in China is exactly what I would expect from Joy.

Thank you Faciallady! I received my 1.50 diopter readers but didn't examine each pair. After reading this thread I found 1 pair (blue frames) were incorrect 1.00 instead of 1.50. I think the they were a fair price and better contstructed then the cheapies I usually buy. But they were much too wide for my small face. If she had different sizes I probably would have exchanged them. I called CS about the error and at least I will not be charged for the return postage.
