THE "TOO LARGE BED SHEET" LADY IS BACK! There may be hope for us homemakers who DO NOT own the super-size 18" thick mattresses.

Beauty Rest has closed it's doors because it cannot sell the $3,000.00 plus behemoths any longer. Is it possible the linen manufacturers will take notice, and make linens available to those of us who own traditional, usual size mattresses? And those who must now purchase new mattresses, but who will opt for the less expensive?

Hopefully, we will prevail and be able to once again buy single sheets, not sheet sets!

I agree !! We have an older mattress and I always have to be careful buying sheets. I think the super-size me craze is over and the over priced, over sized bedding is on the way out...lets just get back to normal...LOL

I hate buying sheets in sets...I prefer buying just flat sheets...with a decent thread count..over 250..Flat sheets alone are difficult to find..I don't like Wal--mart sheets at all..How many pillow cases does one need, that are made from stretched out fitted sheets??..If you have all queen flats sheets you can still make up a full sized bed by tucking extra under..I guess that's why they don't sell flat sheets alone! No need for different sizes for every bed?
End of Rant..

I guess I am in the wrong hole..OOpsAnxious I have a extra long twin bed which is an electric one. The only place I found the x long sheets was Pennys and since I also have a regular bed pad, AND a thick memory foarm pad on top of that, I need the deeper pockets..Using my bed almost sitting up (which is how I have to sleep) makes the pockets move, and reg pockets were always popping off..I now use Queen (for the lenght) tuck in the extra on the wall side, and I have all the deep pockets I need. So, there is still a use for deep pockets for a regular bed. I used those holders that looked like short bra straps for years to hold the top corners on.NO MORE..The deep ones tuck anough to hold..BTW...Memory foam pads on a regular bed..Heaven on earth and cheaper than buying a new bed..Yummy.Dancing
