I just bought my first HD TV and it works just fine except the figures of people (example) the dancers on Dancing with the Stars, seem to be truncated. Is this normal or do I have a problem?

Check the picture size using the remote(s) or the on screen menu for the TV. It should be set to "Normal" or "16 X 9" or similar description. When viewing some channels/shows, "sidebars" appear and can be eliminated by using the "Zoom", "Stretch", etc. option/button. Using the "zoom" will fill the screen, but cut off parts of the picture in doing so. Hope that helps and enjoy your new TV!
