I am debating as to when to start decorating for Halloween this year. I have my fall stuff out (well some of it). In the past few years I've been getting them out just before Halloween because I'd been so busy. I don't like to decorate too late because I have no time to enjoy them. However, other years I got the decorations out too early and annoyed my family. I'm a Halloween nut. Winking

So when's the best time? I was thinking maybe the 15th of this month?

Once you finish yours, will you come do mine? I sort of dread decorating, even though I love Halloween stuff.

What kinds of decorations do you have? I like to stick with black cats, bats and ravens. Oh, and spiders.

I love the "Nightmare Before Xmas" and I've thought about making a big Jack Skellington and a Sally. One year my daughter was Sally when I made all their costumes (plus, I don't think Sally ones were around). It was such a GREAT costume, she looked just like her. I still have it all, I think I could make really cute ones, it would be a fun project with the kids.

When the kids were smaller and I was room mom and would help w/ parties hubby and I would dress up. I made hubby an Edward Scissorhands costume and won a nice camera kit from Kodak. :)

Hitsville, you sound very talented. I love Halloween decorations. We have a huge magnolia tree in our front yard. I've got on the trunk of that tree the back of a witch on a broomstick; she looks like she was flying low and slammed into the tree. We've got ghost faces and spiders hanging from the branches, a glow-in-the-dark skeleton hanging on the front door, and a sign on the front-door doorknob that says, "Haunted House." I always dress like a witch, including green face makeup, when I answer the door to the kids. They are so cute.

Okay, so I finally got the Halloween decorations out this past Sunday. I'm still holding off on putting out the outdoor decorations, I like to do that a couple days before Halloween--they feel spookier that way. Winking
