I stand corrected. I just heard that tickets will not be sold for the MJ memorial service after all.

Don't you wonder who's in charge of this?

L.A. is broke. The private sector had to pay for the extra police protection surrounding the Lakers parade after they won the NBA championships. I think some of those who made all the money from MJ should cover the cost of the policing necessary to keep the peace on Tuesday.

they are giving out tickets, so that they will know how-many people.....as the place only holds so, many people...i think it's just so they will know for there own benefit,as they are not charging a fee......thoughts and prayers for the whole family....

Even thouigh they are giving out tickets for the stadium they are still assuming that there will be about a hundred thousand people there. With California being in financial stress, who is paying for all the police and who will be there to assist them in controlling the crowds. Hopefully there will not be any riots or things going on like when the Lakers wond the Championship.

Airlines working out of London report that flights coming anywhere near L.A. are full, with Britons flocking to the service whether they have tickets or not. I don't live in California, but signed up for tickets anyway. Seriously doubt I'd be chosen, but will give them to LA friends if I'm lucky enough to win. Not sure how they are going to control people printin multiple copies of the winning tickets. Will be interesting to watch.
