I wish hsn could do that. I am in to all crafts, and the Q used to have
the best 24 hour craft shows, I used to stay up all night watching the shows!
They had all kinds of neat crafts, I learned so much from the shows!
Anyone else miss those shows???Boo hoo!

(Sigh....)Those were the days! They had crafts from different vendors like Plaid and even needlecrafts. I even bought and used the gallery glass on the glass doors of my el cheapo entertainment center and it really improved its looks. Good thing too because I still have that entertainment center and am likely to until the day I die Cool

It would be fun to see a block of time devoted to crafts, not just scrapping and card making, a couple of times a year, but I think the time they take to demonstrate vs. the amount of money they bring in make it inefficient for them to be presented any more.

I enjoy the sewing shows, but I am a total amateur and already own a cheap Singer that will do for me for a long time...not that I don't desire those embroidery machines and sergers and wonderful sewing machines that have what seem like hundreds of different stitches. Maybe when I win the Lottery and have a craft room AND a sewing room!Winking

I use to get crazy when they would come on, and not even sleep haha! I had something to look forward too, and there were so many different crafts, soap making, jewelry making, painting, stained glass (faux), scrapbooking. These were but a few of what they would show! Then there were craft shows on tv also, which are no longer on. You would think with all the cable channels there would be one just for us crafters out there!Boo hoo!

Like all of you, I used to stay up all night too. I think the Q is getting away from crafts. They seem to cutting it down more and more. Lisa Bearson is not coming back either. She said she wanted to stay home with her kids. I think it's alot more than that. I think the Q is just going to do less and less. I like the kits that HSN offers, they are a really good price for what you get. I just wish they had more vendors.Think

Several years ago I bought a few Plaid kits and then my husband died suddenly and I've never taken them out of the boxes. Paints are probably all dried up by now. I like all kinds of crafts but I'm tired of scrapbooking and sewing programs. I wish HSN would get some different things and more of them. Definitely not enough "craft" type programs. I love watching them and enjoyed the Plaid lady when she did the Gallery Glass shows.

In my area we have the DIY channel (Do It Yourself) and they have a few craft type shows but nothing totally dedicated to crafts. They have a lot of house projects to do yourself. I agree, with all the channels out there you would think some would do just crafts. After all, there are a million sports shows for the men but not much for us women, right? They even have a channel for Poker Players. To me it is like watching paint peel. How boring!

I got started in scrapbooking and card making by watching Q; I really miss the all-day craft shows. I really liked the choice of vendors and the time they had to demonstrate what they were selling. It was a great opportunity to learn new techniques, which certainly helped me because I didn't have a clue as to what I was doing. I wish HSN would broaden their vendor base beyond the few they currently have, even though I've been generally pleased with the products I've ordered. It would be lovely to see some craft shows on cable instead of ten zillion action and sports channels. I like some sports, but could live the rest of my life without ever seeing golf and volleyball and several others.

Amen! I could go on for days about how HGTV, and DIY are ditching the craft shows, even though crafting is a big seller, nowadays! There is a thread on Ravelry about this, on the Knitty Gritty group. Vickie Howell even has some stuff on her blog. These channels seem to think all we want to do is remodel our houses. I have all but boycotted these channels.

Hi Everyone,
I too am a QVC shopper who loved the 24 hours of Crafts. I really think QVC dropped the ball and hoping HSN will start doing much more craft shows. I have bought few crafts here, including the Cricut. Looking to purchase the Cuterbug soon when it comes back with a special package again.
HSN are you listening????
There is a huge market of crafters looking to for more craft shows. Fishing

Add me to the list of former die-hard QVC watching scrapbookers! I would plan my week around those all day shows, tape them and keep them for technique reference. I learned so much from the product demos. I loved the Q's scrapbook forum but most of those posters from back then have moved on, because I only see a handful of familiar names. It would be so fun on craft days to watch and chat online during the shows... those were the days!

I hope HSN really picks up the ball and runs with it, because there isn't much of anything left over at the Q, the inventory is just sad, compared to what it used to be. I would love to see HSN do blocks of scrapbooking or all day crafting shows like the Q used to do! One thing I do like better about HSN is the combined shipping and frequent coupons - much better than QVC, and I'd be delighted to shop here for my crafting supplies if they continue to expand their inventory!Pray I have bought quite a few crafting kits on clearance here at HSN, and have been pleased with everything I've purchased.

I used to love watching too!! I just wish they wouldn't repeat the same old thing all day!! Not with the internet and tivo. We don't actually have to 'miss a thing' I used to record the shows and watch them later... :sigh: Wish both channels would do more!!!!!
